Pragmatic Play slots can pay for symbols anywhere on the grid, connected groups, paylines or collected cash values. The useful starting point is how a win is formed. A candy theme does not make Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush interchangeable. A game featuring Zeus does not necessarily use the same rules as Gates of Olympus either.
Gates of Olympus introduces tumbles and a running free-spins multiplier. Sugar Rush suits players who prefer following individual multiplier positions. Big Bass Bonanza centres on a fisherman collecting cash symbols. The Dog House and Wild West Gold offer familiar line-based play. Selection order follows editorial scores; it does not predict the next payout or represent popularity in your country.

The listed RTP belongs to the stated game configuration. A casino may offer a different version. Maximum win is a ceiling, rather than a typical payout or an expected result after a hundred spins.
Choose by the way a win is formed
| Game family | How it pays | What matters during the round |
|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus and Starlight Princess | Matching symbols can be scattered across the grid | A winning tumble and the bonus multiplier total |
| Sweet Bonanza | The number of matching fruits or sweets | The tumble total and bombs for that spin |
| Sugar Rush | Connected groups of matching symbols | Marked positions and their growing multipliers |
| Big Bass | A fisherman collects cash symbols in free spins | Collector symbols and progress to another level |
| The Dog House and Wild West Gold | Line combinations involving wilds | The position of sticky wilds |
Gates of Olympus and Starlight Princess: a running total
Original Gates of Olympus needs at least eight matching symbols for a win. They do not have to touch. Winning symbols disappear and replacements fall into the gaps. Several tumbles can therefore belong to one paid spin.
Multiplier symbols worth up to 500× can appear in the base game too. Four or more scatters trigger 15 free spins. During the feature, a multiplier on a winning spin joins the running total. That carry-over distinguishes the bonus from an ordinary tumble sequence: the total can boost later qualifying wins.
Starlight Princess offers similar logic with a different theme. Artwork and screen readability are sensible reasons to choose between them. A different character does not create an advantage on the next spin.
Sweet Bonanza: bombs apply to the tumble sequence
Sweet Bonanza also pays for eight or more matching symbols anywhere. Its bombs appear during free spins and boost the total for the current tumble sequence. Values between 2× and 100× are added together, rather than multiplied by one another.
Bombs showing 2× and 5× produce a combined 7× multiplier. If the tumble wins total three times the stake, that calculation gives 21 times the stake. This is arithmetic for an already completed outcome, rather than a forecast. The running multiplier across a Gates of Olympus bonus should not be assumed to apply here.
Sugar Rush: connections and positions matter
Sugar Rush pays for connected groups starting at five matching symbols. Five sweets in separate corners do not form that group. Counting any eight symbols, as in Sweet Bonanza, is therefore the wrong way to read its grid.
A winning explosion marks the affected positions. Another winning symbol in the same spot creates a 2× multiplier. Further hits double it, up to 128×. Base-game marks belong to the current spin; bonus marks remain until the feature ends. The improvement is attached to a grid position, rather than one shared counter above the reels.
Big Bass Bonanza and Splash: cash needs a collector
During Big Bass Bonanza free spins, fisherman wilds collect the cash symbols on screen. A fish displaying a large value without a collector does not itself credit that amount. Every fourth wild extends the feature by ten spins, first with a 2× multiplier, then 3× and finally 10× on the third retrigger.
Big Bass Splash retains this collection system. Before the feature starts, it can randomly add zero to five modifiers, including extra cash symbols, wilds or spins. Zero is a possible outcome. The Splash name does not promise an enhanced start on every bonus.
Line games: The Dog House, Wild West Gold and Zeus vs Hades
The Dog House uses a 5×3 grid and 20 paylines. Multiplier wilds appear on reels two, three and four, becoming sticky during free spins. Their position matters because they help the combinations that pass through them.
Wild West Gold has a 5×4 layout. Its wilds carry 2×, 3× or 5× values, which add together when involved in the same win. Three scatters trigger an initial eight free spins, with multiplier wilds staying in place during the feature. These games are a practical alternative if you prefer reading lines to counting matches across the whole screen.
Zeus vs Hades – Gods of War also offers a choice of mode. Zeus brings a higher chance of triggering the bonus with a lower average bonus win. Hades triggers it less often with a higher average win. This changes the distribution of outcomes; neither choice guarantees a profitable session. Expanding wilds cover an entire reel and remain sticky in free spins.
What 1000 and Super Scatter editions change
| Edition | Main change | How to read the name |
|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | Individual multiplier symbols up to 1000× | A symbol limit, rather than the payout of every bonus |
| Starlight Princess 1000 | A higher ceiling for a random multiplier | A larger boost can appear, but is not guaranteed |
| Sweet Bonanza 1000 | Free-spins bombs up to 1000× | They apply to the winning tumble sequence |
| Sugar Rush 1000 | Position multipliers grow to 1024× | The name is not the exact limit of one position |
| Gates and Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter | Special scatters award a separate prize when the bonus triggers | Ordinary and Super Scatters are different symbols |
Gates of Olympus 1000 retains pays-anywhere wins and tumbles. Four scatters trigger its feature; three during free spins add another five games. Sweet Bonanza 1000 has a 25,000-stake maximum win, but a higher ceiling does not by itself mean more frequent payouts.
Sugar Rush 1000 keeps the 7×7 board and growing multipliers on winning positions. The important event is a new cluster reaching marked spots. The higher limit does not turn every group of sweets into a large prize.
In Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, triggering the feature with one special scatter awards 100 times the stake. Two award 500×, three 5000× and four the maximum 50,000×. Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter has the same separate prize scale. Ordinary scatters can start free spins, but they do not substitute for the special symbols in this calculation.
Spin cost, Ante Bet and bonus purchases
The useful comparison is the full amount charged to the balance. An ordinary spin, an increased Ante Bet and a purchased feature have different costs. Availability of those controls depends on the particular game and the version the operator offers.
Gates of Olympus 1000 publishes a feature-buy price of 100 normal stakes. With a €0.20 stake, entry costs €20; with €1 it costs €100. If a purchased round returns €8 after costing €20, its net result is a €12 loss. A display announcing an €8 win does not mean an €8 profit.
If a setting increases a €1 normal stake by 25%, each launch charges €1.25. A hundred launches cost €125. This is an example for an interface displaying that surcharge, rather than a universal Ante Bet price across the studio. The bonus buy guide explains how to compare optional modes by their actual cost.
RTP comparisons need matching configurations
There is no single RTP for the whole studio. Even related games can have different figures. The number in the running game’s rules belongs to that configuration. A figure from a similarly named edition does not replace it.
| Hypothetical RTP | Betting turnover | Theoretical expected loss |
|---|---|---|
| 96.5% | €1000 | €35 |
| 95.5% | €1000 | €45 |
| 94.5% | €1000 | €55 |
On equal turnover, the first and third examples differ by €20 in theoretical expected loss. That does not predict the closing account balance. High volatility describes the spread of payouts, so a short session can differ substantially from the average calculation. The RTP calculator separates money deposited from money wagered.
Demo play and choosing a casino for the right game
A demo helps assess the grid, the location of rules and how wins are credited. Watch when a multiplier resets after a normal spin and after a feature. Virtual funds let you learn the controls; they do not test a casino’s banking or document checks.
The Pragmatic Play catalogue covers other releases. For casino access, the relevant details are the complete game name, residence, account currency and available mode. Switching the interface between English and Russian does not change the market in which an offer applies.
Game availability and promotion eligibility are separate conditions. A slot may work with cash while its stakes do not count towards wagering. At 10% contribution, a €1 stake reduces a turnover requirement by only €0.10. A payout can also enter a bonus balance with a separate transfer cap. These restrictions matter when comparing casinos, alongside the game’s maximum multiplier.
For alternatives from another studio, provider styles explain differences in round design. Compare specific mechanics: sticky wilds, growing grid positions, cash collection or a multiplier across a series. A shared theme and similar RTP do not make two games substitutes for one another.
Additional question
Does Pragmatic Play offer a separate round with locked cash symbols?
In Wolf Gold, six or more cash symbols trigger Money Respin with three respins. A new cash symbol resets the allowance to three. Filling all 15 positions adds a Mega Jackpot worth 1000 stakes. This is a separate collection mechanic from the Big Bass fisherman feature.
