Wild West Gold review
Wild West Gold is Pragmatic Play’s 26 March 2020 Western, the next Gold-series release after Wolf Gold and Mustang Gold. A 5×4 grid with forty lines combines regular-play Multiplier Wilds with sticky feature Wilds, a 10x top-up and Scatter overlays.
Forty lines and symbol values
Wins pay on 40 fixed lines from left to right, starting on the leftmost reel, and need at least three matching symbols in a row. Only the best combination on a line is paid, and separate lines add up. Line prizes, as Pragmatic’s server lists them for a stake of one:

Values are total-bet multiples for one winning line rather than bet divided by forty. Five sheriffs at 20x are four times the four-symbol 5x and 13⅓ times the triple’s 1.5x. The table does not state how frequently these combinations occur.
Adding 2x,3x and 5x on reels two to four
Wilds appear only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stand in for everything except the scatter. Each one arrives with a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier, which applies to the win of every line the Wild belongs to. When one line holds several Wilds, their multipliers are added.
A sheriff,3x Wild,5x Wild and sheriff on a line’s first four positions give 5×(3+5) = 40x, provided reel five does not extend it. Three such lines pay 120x. Three 5x Wilds on one line give 15x rather than 125x. Two Wilds add only on lines crossing both. Hypothetical four aces through one 2x Wild pay 0.3×2 = 0.6x; three such lines give 1.8x. One Wild can join several awards, but each needs its own matches.
Three suns and eight free spins
In regular play, the sun Scatter appears only on reels one, three and five, one per reel and at most three. All three trigger eight spins. Positional restrictions do not determine feature frequency. Feature Wilds retain their cell and randomly assigned 2x,3x or 5x until round end; regular-play Wilds do not persist.
Twelve 5x Wilds across the centre would give every line 15x. With sheriffs on its edges, a five-symbol line pays 20×15 = 300x. This is hypothetical rather than a guarantee of all forty awards; eligible outer symbols are needed. Feature suns overlay any positions, including sticky Wilds, so a filled centre does not prevent extensions.

Illustrative round: a 2x on reel two and 5x on reel four give 7x for lines crossing both; two suns add four to the initial eight spins. A 3x on reel three then gives 10x on lines crossing all three. On spin nine, two five-symbol Character 3 lines pay 2×7.5×10 = 150x. The extension makes spin nine possible, but this sequence is neither a typical frequency nor a forecast.
A 10x floor,the buy and maximum total
If free-spin total is below 10x, the game tops it up to 10x. Buying eight spins costs 100x where permitted and retains the same rules: the floor is one tenth of the price rather than a promise to recover it. Separate buy RTP is unspecified. Main RTP is 96.51%, volatility high, and hit and entry rates unknown. The free spins explainer explains extensions.
Stakes are 0.2–100, with a 10,000x round-total ceiling:2,000 at 0.2,10,000 at one or 1,000,000 at one hundred. Reaching it immediately ends free spins and cancels the remainder. A filled centre and extensions can boost pays, but an exclusive maximum route and its probability are unestablished.
The Gold family and two sequels
Wolf Gold and Mustang Gold were named successful predecessors by the studio. Other Westerns include Cowboys Gold and Bounty Gold. The May 2022 Wild West Gold Megaways has a 5,000x ceiling, sheriff-badge Wilds at 2x,3x,5x, a sticky feature and 4x–500x for three to six Scatters. June 2025’s Blazing Bounty uses 5×5 clusters, up to 25x tied to Scatter count and a 7,500x ceiling.
