Raptor DoubleMax review
Raptor DoubleMax came out from Yggdrasil Gaming on 26 August 2021. The action takes place in a lost world where dinosaurs fight for the top of the food chain. The 5×3 grid has 25 paylines, cascading reels and the game’s big selling point: a multiplier that doubles with every consecutive win and, according to the studio, has no upper limit. The idea is simple, yet it reshapes everything, because a humble three-card-symbol line on a high multiplier can be worth more than five top dinosaurs without one.
Dinosaurs, paylines and cascades
Yggdrasil frames the story as giant lizards clashing in a land before time. Dense jungle surrounds the reels, four dinosaurs are the premium symbols and card ranks fill the low end. Dinosaur eggs act as scatters and open free spins.
The presentation is uncluttered. The reels are large, symbols drop in neatly from above, and after each win it is easy to see what vanished and what replaced it, which matters in a game decided by cascade chains. The multiplier counter has its own display and updates visibly after each doubling, so the current level is always in view.
Line pays count from left to right, and the table uses total-bet multiples. Paid symbols disappear, gaps refill from above and each cascade adds a Wild. It substitutes for regular symbols rather than the egg scatter. Winning-combination frequencies and chain-length distributions are unspecified: an added Wild does not guarantee another win.

DoubleMax: doubling and multiplier carryover
From 1x, the multiplier doubles with each consecutive cascade win: 2x, 4x, 8x and so on. On regular spins it resets when the chain ends, so long cascade runs matter, since every new combination lands on a multiplier twice as big.
1st — Multiplier: 1x; 0.3x base win becomes: 0.3x; Running total: 0.3x.
2nd — Multiplier: 2x; 0.3x base win becomes: 0.6x; Running total: 0.9x.
3rd — Multiplier: 4x; 0.3x base win becomes: 1.2x; Running total: 2.1x.
4th — Multiplier: 8x; 0.3x base win becomes: 2.4x; Running total: 4.5x.
5th — Multiplier: 16x; 0.3x base win becomes: 4.8x; Running total: 9.3x.
6th — Multiplier: 32x; 0.3x base win becomes: 9.6x; Running total: 18.9x.
The table assumes the same underlying pay at every stage. Only under that assumption does the latest payout exceed all earlier payouts combined; different matches need not follow that pattern. The multiplier has no upper bound of its own, while the game’s payout limit still applies.
Free spins use the same cascades and extra Wilds, but the multiplier does not reset between spins, which lets it climb very high. Every win on any spin keeps doubling the value already reached.
A blank free spin retains the reached level for subsequent spins. The multiplier can therefore grow across separate chains, unlike regular play’s end-of-chain reset. Exact starting free-spin counts and the probability of each level are unspecified.
Eggs, gambling and paid options
Egg scatters open free spins, and you need at least three. Before they start, you can collect the spins you have or gamble for more. That gamble is risky, so read the rules before using it.
The game configuration has separate gamble modes for triggers with three and four scatters; there is none for five. Losing the gamble costs the whole bonus, so decide your policy before the eggs appear rather than in the heat of the moment.
Golden Bet raises the cost by 25%, from twenty coins to twenty-five, and doubles the bonus-trigger chance. It does not guarantee entry, and no separate mode RTP is listed. Where the operator allows it, buying costs 2000 coins or 100x a standard stake. Bought rounds use the same multiplier carryover rules; a separate buy return is undisclosed. Payout limits and the Multifly! comparison
RTP is 96% and volatility high. Configuration gives a 19,978x limit, while the studio separately advertises a €1 million cash maximum. A cash restriction is not the same bet multiple at every stake. Neither endless doubling nor these limits establishes the bonus as an exclusive route; hit and free-spin frequencies are unspecified.
Multifly! was released on 24 March 2020: 243 ways, 96.3% RTP and individual reel multipliers raised by Wilds, applying to a match using at least one symbol on that reel. Its advertised €788,475 cash maximum does not substitute for a stake multiple. Raptor uses one shared doubling multiplier. Gonzo’s Quest offers a different cascade multiplier and Dinopolis another dinosaur theme. The developer is Yggdrasil Gaming.
