Book of Adventure review
An explorer enters Egyptian pyramids in search of the Book of Adventure. The Stakelogic game follows the Book of Ra genre: ordinary paylines give way to free spins where one selected symbol fills reels. The studio later released a Super Stake Edition and described the original in its announcement as one of its most popular launches.
Ten lines and a conflicting product listing
The grid has five reels and three rows. Ordinary wins run from left to right on fixed paylines. Stakelogic’s product listing says five lines, but saved official-demo results record wins on lines numbered one to ten. The demo uses ten, as does the Super Stake Edition listing. The line count stays fixed; the stake can be adjusted.
A desert backdrop frames the explorer, pharaoh, Anubis statue and bird, alongside 10, J, Q, K and A. Picture symbols pay from two matches, cards from three. These thresholds also determine the requirements for symbol expansion during the bonus.
Line pays and the scatter book
The values come from saved demo-server responses, converted into multiples of the total stake. Books are counted anywhere on the grid, while ordinary symbols are counted on a single line.

The 75x five-symbol payout was recorded for only one of the two middle-tier figures. Five of the other figure and five books have unconfirmed payouts. A blank cell does not mean a zero payout.
The book substitutes for regular symbols as a Wild and triggers the bonus as a Scatter. Its separate scatter prize is paid alongside line wins. Stakelogic’s feature list gives no other base-game modifiers.
Expansion pays across non-adjacent reels
At least three books award ten free spins. Before the first spin, one of the nine regular symbols is selected, from the 10 to the explorer. One symbol is assigned to the whole round. Cards must appear on at least three reels to expand; picture symbols need two.
Once expanded, the symbol pays on every line, and its reels need not be adjacent. A saved test spin had a middle-tier figure on reels one, three and four. Its absence on reel two did not prevent payment. That differs from an ordinary combination, which must begin on the left without a gap.
The explorer on four expanded reels pays 1,000x for the spin, and five expanded reels pay 5,000x. The stated overall maximum is 5,502x. There is no published rule describing early termination of a bonus at that figure. Without such a rule, the remaining portion of the maximum cannot be assigned to a specific combination of payouts.
A retrigger continues the same round
Three books during free spins add another ten spins. In the saved rounds, the counter increased from ten to twenty. Retriggers particularly affect a round with a premium expanding symbol because they add attempts under the same payout conditions.
Five of the nine candidates are cards. Cards were selected more often than figures in the test, but the number of candidates does not establish equal selection probabilities. The exact chance of drawing the explorer cannot be calculated from the symbol list.
Results from the saved demo series
The studio rates volatility at five stars out of five, with a 96.21% RTP. It does not publish hit or bonus frequency. A previous demo test separately recorded the following results at a €0.10 stake:

These are results from one sample, rather than mathematical specifications of the game. Base-game return in that sample was around two thirds of stakes. The roughly 32% figure includes any win and does not mean that the same share of spins produced a profit.
Picture-symbol rounds produced the largest results in the series. However, 24 bonuses cannot establish their payout distribution or promise another trigger within a certain number of spins. The longest recorded gap is also not a limit on possible waiting time.
Super Stake Edition and other Book games
The Super Stake Edition arrived on 30 June 2020. Its extra mode doubles the stake by adding an equal side bet. According to the studio’s description, the mode triggers a bonus roughly every 35 spins, awarding a random five to fifteen free spins with an expanding symbol. The ordinary book trigger retains ten spins.
This version has a 96.68% RTP and a 5,503.5x maximum. These official Super Stake details cannot be directly compared with the frequency from the original’s short test: entry conditions and the number of free spins differ.
Book of Dead uses the same expansion idea, with a 96.21% RTP and a 5,000x maximum. Novomatic’s Book of Ra Deluxe has a 95.10% RTP and the same 5,000x maximum. These Book games share a mechanic in which one special symbol determines the bonus’s possibilities.
