Book of Demi Gods II review
Book of Demi Gods II arrived on 1 May 2020. Spinomenal combines card ranks, mythological demigods and a golden book. The bonus selects one expanding symbol while regular maths has several RTP builds.
Lines, the book and symbol selection
Line wins on the 10 lines read left to right, starting from reel one. The small line count is key to understanding the game. Each reel has three positions and every line passes through exactly one of them, so a symbol covering a whole reel automatically sits on all ten lines at once.
The key symbol is the golden book, a scatter that pays anywhere, with five books paying 250x the stake. A trio or more also opens the bonus, and position is irrelevant: books on reels 1, 3 and 5 count just like three in a row. Spinomenal also lists a Wild and expanding symbols among the game’s features.
Land three or more books anywhere for 10 free spins. Before spin one, the game draws a random symbol that will expand for the entire round. The choice never changes during the round, so all ten spins work for the same symbol. Make a note of which one comes up, since it tells you what to expect from the next ten spins.
The complete regular pay scale, minimum lengths, three- and four-book pays and exact Wild role are absent. A separately listed Wild does not establish the book’s dual role. Special-symbol selection weights are unknown: a premium character guarantees no large total, and a card no small one.
Expansion and paid entry
The special type can fill all three cells of a reel. If the first three adjacent reels expand and qualify, each line receives a three-symbol combination, multiplying its line pay by the line count. Four and five adjacent expanded reels give longer combinations according to the client’s paytable. Expansion threshold, nonadjacent-reel payment and order combining regular and special pays are unspecified; other books’ rules cannot be transferred here.
Paying to jump straight into free spins is also an option. No price appears on the studio’s game page; the buy button shows it. The special symbol is still drawn at random, exactly as in a natural trigger, so buying doesn’t let you pick a demigod. A bought round is the same ten spins under the same rules, not a boosted bonus.
The buy price and separate RTP are undisclosed, so calculating its losses from a regular build is invalid. Retriggers, added spins and symbol changes on retrigger are also undescribed. Landing frequency and expansion-length distribution for the selected type are unestablished.

Four RTPs and the limit
Regular builds are 96.14%, 93.96%, 91.71% and 88.94%. An operator sheet quotes 95.9%, absent from the game page, without explaining its relation to the four builds. Risk is high and the maximum 5,000x. Hit, bonus and cap frequencies, limit scope and termination are not decoded. A sole cap route through a full grid of a premium type is unproven.
Book instalments and Demi Gods IV
| Game | Grid and lines | RTP | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Book of Demi Gods II | 5×3, 10 lines | 88.94–96.14% | Expanding symbol, buy, up to 5,000x |
| Book of Demi Gods 3 | 5 reels, 10 lines | 88.94–96.14% | Norse gods: Odin, Loki, Thor and Freya |
| Book of Demi Gods 4 | 5 reels, 10 lines | 88.94–96.14% | Same feature set, buy, up to 5,000x |
| Book of Demi Gods 5 | 5×3, 10 lines | 88.94–96.14% | Free spins and expanding symbols |
| Demi Gods IV | 6 reels, 50 lines | 88.79–96.2% | Power Spin, synced reels, win multiplier |
Part three takes the book to Valhalla with Odin, Loki, Thor and Freya, while part five continues the saga. Shared lines, RTP options and maximums in the book instalments do not prove identical maths or free-spin frequency. Demi Gods IV’s synchronisation branch is separate.
Book of Dead has 96.21% RTP, while Book of Ra Deluxe has 95.10%; both list a 5,000x maximum. Novomatic’s classic has no direct buy. Sharing a book slots theme does not establish equal expansion thresholds or buy RTP.
