Book of Lady review
Book of Lady is an Endorphina slot released in March 2022 to mark International Women’s Day. Underneath sits a classic “book” game on a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines, but with a bright, fashionable look instead of the usual Egyptian tombs. The cast includes a stylish woman, her cat and a range of accessories, and the key symbol is a red and gold book. The Prague studio did not invent a new mechanic here. It pushed a familiar one further: every retrigger of the free games adds another expanding symbol, up to nine in total.
The dressing room and line stake
Endorphina files the game under “lifestyle slots”, and the label fits. Priests and sarcophagi give way to a heroine with a magazine-cover hairstyle, a fluffy cat, a handbag and other fashion pieces. The palette is warm pink and gold on a light background. The studio says outright that it wanted to bring a smile to women around the world on their day, so there is no dusty archaeology anywhere. In a genre that lives almost entirely in ancient Egypt, that change of scenery is the main reason to try it if you are tired of ankhs and scarabs.
Wins are paid left to right on active paylines starting from the first reel, with matching symbols on adjacent reels. Only the highest win per line counts, and wins on different lines are added up. The in-game paytable shows every prize already converted for your current stake, in money or in credits depending on the display mode.
Each spin costs between 0.1 and 45. Spread across ten lines, that means 0.01 to 4.5 per line, which matters when reading the paytable: Symbol values are quoted against the line bet, not against the total stake.
The book does two jobs: it is a Wild that substitutes for regular symbols and a scatter that pays in any position. Scatter wins and line wins are added together, so one book can complete a line and count towards a scatter payout on the same spin. The one exception matters in the bonus. During the free games the book cannot stand in for the special expanding symbol, so it can help ordinary line wins but never builds a column for the special symbol.
The top symbol is the woman, paying 500x the line bet for five on a line. The cat is second and the handbag third. Only the five-of-a-kind values for these three are published, so that is where the table stops.

Ten free games and retriggers
Three or more books trigger ten free games at the original stake and line count. An expanding symbol is selected randomly. Further books retrigger, adding games and another special symbol while earlier ones remain; at most nine types can be active. The exact extra-game award and per-symbol reel thresholds for expansion are unspecified in the description. No paid entry is offered.
With ten active lines, five women on one line pay 50x the total stake. If she fills all five reels, ten lines together pay 500x. Likewise a full cat screen pays 200x and handbags 75x. These calculate the listed paytable rather than the total round cap. The bonus adds spin payouts; collecting special symbols does not reveal their selection or landing probabilities.
The gamble, RTP and the book formula
After a win, the card gamble allows up to ten doubling attempts. Success doubles the current amount; an error loses all of it. Guessing probability is not separately supplied: a fair-coin model is not game statistics. Some operators offer Bonus Pop depending on jurisdiction; its name does not establish an original-game free-spin buy. RTP is 96.03%, with high volatility.
