Buffalo King Untamed Megaways review
Buffalo King Untamed Megaways is the third Pragmatic Play entry, introduced on 20 June 2024. Buffalo, eagles, mountain lions and wolves appear in the American prairies. The Wild is a flat-topped mesa bearing its multiplier value. It follows the January 2020 original and the April 2021 Megaways edition.
Variable height and ways payouts
The first and sixth reels hold up to six symbols each, with up to seven on the four middle reels. A fully opened grid provides 86,436 ways, but heights change each spin. Combinations run from the first reel to the right across neighbouring reels. Only the highest combination per way pays, while wins across ways are added. The paytable uses total-stake multiples at the regular stake multiplier of 20.

Scatters pay anywhere: three award 2x, four 5x, five 15x and six 100x the total stake. Wilds appear only on reels 2–5, replace paying symbols other than scatters and receive a random 2x, 3x or 5x. Multiple multipliers multiply together. The description also limits their application to a Wild contributing to a winning chain; applying them to every screen win unconditionally would contradict that qualification.
Modifiers and free spins
A random modifier can guarantee at least 10,000 ways, open the full grid or add one hundred top-paying buffalo symbols to the reel strips. Their frequencies are not specified. Four, five and six or more scatters award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively, played on special strips.
The bonus starts with no Wild multiplier. Every contributing Wild win raises future Wild multipliers by 1x for the rest of the round. Three, four, five and six or more scatters add 5, 10, 15 and 20 spins, with no retrigger limit stated. Multiplication of several accumulated Wilds is not separately confirmed for the bonus, so its exact combined value is unknown. The complete round result is credited after completion and stored as one amount in the history.
Ante, buying and the maximum
The regular stake multiplier is 20 and ante uses 30, raising spin cost by 50%. Extra scatters on the strips triple natural bonus-entry chances according to the game description. Ante disables buying. A 100x total-stake buy guarantees four, five or six scatters. All three modes have 96.02% RTP; the volatility badge indicates medium.
The base game and bonus have a 10,000x maximum. Reaching it during free spins immediately ends the round and cancels remaining spins; the frequency is listed as one in 4,926,108 rounds. Ante lists 6,667x and one in 1,464,129 rounds, so its surcharge does not increase the cash limit. Buy-mode maximum frequency is not given separately.
The Buffalo King series
Buffalo King lists 96.06% RTP and a 93,750x maximum. Buffalo King Megaways lists 96.52% and 5,000x. Untamed adds random ways modifiers and a growing bonus Wild multiplier. Wild West Gold Megaways uses sticky Wilds.
