Rise of Olympus 1000 review
Zeus, Poseidon and Hades are in sync this time, and instead of squabbling they pour their power into multipliers. Rise of Olympus 1000 was released by Play’n GO on 5 February 2026 as a scatter-pays slot on a six-by-five grid with cascades. Eight identical symbols anywhere are enough for a win, after which the winning symbols vanish and new ones drop in from the top. The point of the game is not the symbols but the multipliers: fifteen stages from 2x to 1,000x that keep growing while a round is still unfolding. The studio writes volatility as the number 10.
Whole-grid pays and cascades
There are no lines in the usual sense. A symbol pays when eight or more identical ones collect on the whole grid, and their position does not matter. After a payout the winning symbols are removed, the rest fall down and the grid refills from the top. The cascade runs until the new wins dry up. The rules say that when several symbols win at once all payouts are added, and only the highest value is paid for each combination.
The grid has ten paying symbols: three high ones (HP3, HP2, HP1), three medium (MP3, MP2, MP1) and four low (LP4, LP3, LP2, LP1). Payouts are written in shares of the total stake and grow from eight symbols to twelve and more.
| Symbol | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP3 | 8 | 16 | 34 | 50 | 90 |
| HP2 | 6 | 12 | 22 | 34 | 55 |
| HP1 | 5 | 8 | 16 | 24 | 35 |
| MP3 | 4 | 6 | 12 | 16 | 25 |
| MP2 and MP1 | 3 | 5 | 9 | 12 | 18 |
| LP4 and LP3 | 2 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 12 |
| LP2 and LP1 | 1 | 3 | 4 | 6 | 9 |

| 4 | 5x | 12 | 50x |

According to the description on the game’s page, a multiplier always arrives as Hades. After an upgrade it turns into Poseidon, and the next upgrade makes it Zeus. Zeus can climb the ladder several times in a row until it reaches the top stage. Only one kind of multiplier can be on the grid in a round, so Hades never stands next to Zeus.
A multiplier can land at any moment while the grid has none. If one appears and the round goes on cascading, it has a chance to move up a stage. The odds are not given.
Two rules hold the mechanic together. The first: a multiplier that lands in the base game is guaranteed to climb one stage if the same round has a win. The same holds in the free spins. Any winning round with a multiplier thus pushes it up without luck.
The second rule is called Super Upgrade. When the grid holds a multiplier that has already been upgraded at least once and the round keeps cascading, a random leap can fire: the value jumps from one stage higher up to the final one, 1,000x. During a single cascade such a leap can happen several times to multipliers that went through an upgrade. Once on the top stage, a multiplier grows no further.
One multiplier type on the grid does not mean one symbol: multiple values add, with x10 and x5 giving x15 rather than x50. The stages’ sum of 1,761 is list arithmetic, not a possible grid sum or selection weight. Landing, upgrade and Super Upgrade odds, base/bonus RTP shares and hit/free-spin frequencies are undisclosed.
Regular-round settlement and the bonus container
One more detail: in the base game multipliers multiply the total win at the end of the round, after all cascades, while in the free spins they do so at the end of each spin. The win container on the screen updates when the base payout is ready for multiplication.
Take a 1.00 bet. The first cascade brings 6, the second 8, the third 10, so 24 bets of base payout. A Hades multiplier of 4x sits on the grid. The round wins, so the multiplier is guaranteed to climb a stage, to 5x. The round pays 24 × 5 = 120. If a Super Upgrade had fired in one of the cascades and lifted the 5x to 100x, the total would be 2,400. These figures are invented, and no studio document gives odds for such events.
Landing three scatters or more launches 12 free spins. Scatters can land at any time, and a retrigger from three scatters adds three spins. The main difference of the bonus is that multipliers accumulate. If a multiplier took part in a win, it is carried to the last spin of the series and goes into the container on the screen. If it landed or grew but produced no win, it does not travel on.
The spin is calculated like this. First all symbol payouts are added. Then the values of all multipliers on the grid are added to the number in the container, and the resulting sum multiplies the payout of the spin. The container works as a piggy bank, not as a list.
A new multiplier without a win does not add to the container, but the existing sum persists. Settling a winning round must account for the new multiplier’s guaranteed upgrade before carry.
Series limits and GO Ultra
The series limit is 36 spins: the start plus eight retriggers reaches it. The bonus round’s maximum multiplier sum is given as 3,013x; adding the entire ladder cannot reconstruct it. GO Ultra guarantees every Hades becomes Poseidon, persists in free spins triggered with it, and lists a 3,004x maximum sum. Its price and separate RTP are absent.
Five RTP builds exist: 96.24%, 94.24%, 91.24%, 87.24% and 84.24%. The rules give no verbal mapping for the numerical volatility rating. A maximum exposure of 3,000,000 at the top default stake of 50 yields a calculated 60,000x rather than an explicitly named multiplier cap. The listed chance of that outcome is below one in 100 million; this calculation establishes no round-termination procedure.
Stake construction and earlier instalments
Stake uses ten fixed accounting units although there are no paying lines. The sixteen standard denominations are 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.35, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 2.00, 4.00 and 5.00; each is multiplied by ten to give a total stake of 0.10–50. Operators may change the set, and maximum cash exposure is tied to default stakes.
Rise of Olympus lists a 5,000x maximum, while Rise of Olympus 100 lists 15,000x. Another studio’s Gates of Olympus 1000 also lists 15,000x. Sharing the Olympus theme does not establish identical multiplier-sum settlement, container carry or guaranteed upgrades.
