Wild Booster review
Wild Booster is dated 7 April 2021 by a news item from the studio. The fruit slot runs on a 5×3 grid with twenty fixed lines, and its whole pitch fits one phrase from the intro screen: “Up to x100 win multiplier on wins with wild”. The rules screen carries a high volatility badge, the RTP is 96.47% both in regular play and on the bonus buy, and wins are capped at 5,000x.
Fruit, sevens and a crystal on a purple backdrop
The grid sits in a golden frame on a lilac background. A red “Wild Boost” shield with upward arrows stands on the left, and a price-tagged “Buy Free Spins” board hangs on the right. The symbols follow the classic slot-machine style: a red seven, a lemon, a strawberry, an orange and cherries, with the four card suits, drawn as jewels, as the low symbols. The Wild is written on a blue tile, and the Scatter is a large light-blue diamond with a caption.
The stake is the coin times 20 lines: the coin spans 0.01 to 12.00, so the total bet lies between 0.20 and 240. The demo opens at 2.00. Behind the classic facade sit two separate multipliers, a random one in the base game and a progressive one in the bonus, and the whole plot revolves around the Wild that opens access to both.
What the seven, lemon and cherry pay
A line is read from the first reel onward, and of several combinations on it the senior one pays. The rules screen quotes dollar prices for a 2.00 bet, while the table gives the same sums as bet multiples. Nothing pays below three matching symbols.
| Symbol | 5 of a kind | 4 | 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red seven | 30x | 5x | 2.5x |
| Lemon | 15x | 2.5x | 1.25x |
| Strawberry | 10x | 2x | 1x |
| Orange | 7.5x | 1.25x | 0.6x |
| Cherries | 5x | 1x | 0.5x |
| Spades and hearts | 3x | 0.6x | 0.3x |
| Diamonds and clubs | 2.5x | 0.5x | 0.25x |
The payout scale is shallow: five sevens bring 30x, while five card suits fall short of even 3x. Nothing in the classic game without a multiplier would justify a high volatility badge. The justification comes from the Wild Boost multiplier, which turns an ordinary combination with a Wild into a payout that can grow tens of times over. The studio publishes neither hit frequency nor bonus frequency, so the risk has to be judged from how the multipliers work; how to read the badge itself is covered in the article on slot volatility.
Wild Boost: a lottery of multipliers from 2x to 100x
The Wild in this slot lands on all reels and replaces every symbol except the Scatter. Besides substitution, it switches on a chance. On every spin where at least one Wild lands, the Wild Boost multiplier can fire. One of twelve values, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 25x, 50x or 100x, is then picked at random, and it multiplies the win of every combination that contains at least one Wild.
The list is stretched: half the values do not exceed 9x, while the top four lie between 15x and 100x. The studio gives no odds for any value, and they cannot be derived from the rules. The chance to switch on the multiplier is judged afresh on every spin: an earlier multiplier does not carry over, and the slot has no counter that would build up the chance over a run of spins without a trigger.
The scale depends on the combination. Five sevens with a Wild under 100x give 3,000x on a single line, and if neighbouring lines add more combinations with a Wild, the total runs into the cap. Three cherries with a Wild at the same 100x bring only 50x: the multiplier alone does not make a spin big, it needs a rich combination.
Which lines receive the multiplier
A spin is settled in order. First the reels stop and the Wilds settle where they replace suitable symbols. Then the game evaluates the twenty lines, keeping the best combination on each. After that, if Wild Boost fired, its value is applied to lines with a Wild, and the others stay as they are. At the end the payouts of all lines are added up.
The tie to the Wild works both ways. If a Wild lands but takes part in no winning combination, there is nothing to boost. If the win is built from plain fruit, the multiplier does not touch it, even when it fired on the same spin for another line. Because only the best combination per line is paid, the Wild mostly works as a completer, turning three equal symbols into four or five, and it is the Wild that decides how rich the boosted line turns out.
On an illustrative spin with 25x it looks like this: four strawberries with a Wild (2x) become 50x, three cherries with a Wild (0.5x) become 12.5x, while five oranges without a Wild stay at 7.5x. The total grows from 10x to 70x, sevenfold, though the multiplier itself is 25x.
Mega Boost and Ultra Boost: two roads into free spins
Three or more Scatters on screen start the Super Boost Free Spins round. Before the start the player picks one of two modes, and from then on the mode is locked for the whole round. Both are built as a progression: unlike in the base game, the multiplier here is set in advance and depends only on the number of Scatters collected.
| Parameter | Mega Boost | Ultra Boost |
|---|---|---|
| Starting spins | 5 | 5 |
| Starting multiplier | 2x | 3x |
| Multiplier steps | 5x, 10x, 100x | 6x, 12x, 50x |
| Maximum spins | 20 | 20 |
| Scatters on the reels | fewer | more |
| Chance to raise the multiplier | lower | higher |
The choice between the modes is a choice between a high ceiling and frequent steps. On the first three levels Ultra is higher: 3x, 6x and 12x against 2x, 5x and 10x. The third step diverges sharply: Mega jumps from 10x straight to 100x, tenfold, while Ultra goes from 12x to 50x. A line of four lemons with a Wild (2.5x) is worth 5x, 12.5x, 25x and, on the last step, 250x in Mega, against 7.5x, 15x, 30x and 125x in Ultra. If the round ends at the second step, Ultra is better, while 100x exists only in Mega; the rules give no probabilities by mode.
How Scatters are counted step by step
The Scatter counter does not start at zero: it equals the number of symbols that triggered the round. Every fifth Scatter collected lifts the multiplier to the next step and adds five free spins, so the thresholds sit at the fifth, tenth and fifteenth Scatter. The extra spins are played after the current batch, already at the new multiplier, and after the last step, 100x in Mega or 50x in Ultra, the round is no longer extended.
After a trigger of three Scatters, 12 more are needed to reach the last step, after four 11, after five 10. The rules carry no separate clause for the five-Scatter trigger: by the general rule the counter starts at 5, so the first threshold is met by the time the round starts. The twenty-spin maximum is reached only if Scatters landed at all three steps; an ordinary round is shorter, and its length depends on how often Scatters drop in the chosen mode.
The 75x buy: price and RTP
Buying the Super Boost round from the base game costs 75 of the current total bets. The trigger spin reveals a random 3 to 5 Scatters, and the player picks the mode only afterwards. The buy carries the same RTP as regular play, so it does not change the mathematical expectation: the only difference is that the round comes at once. The bonus frequency is not published, so there is no telling whether the bonus starts on its own more or less often than once per 75 spins. When paying for entry makes sense at all is weighed up in the article on the bonus buy.
A ceiling that comes once in 836,890 rounds
The 5,000x limit applies in both the base game and free spins. On touching that mark the round breaks off: the prize is credited and unplayed spins are cancelled. The game data records the probability of that outcome as 1 in 836,890, about 1.2 hits per million rounds. Three other studio slots with the same limit sit around 4.5 to 5 million rounds per cap, roughly 0.2 hits per million, so the cap comes noticeably more often here. Among fruit slots, Fruit Party with its cluster payouts makes a fair comparison.
