Maneki 88 Fortunes review
BGaming released Maneki 88 Fortunes in its Classic range on 7 September 2023. The beckoning cat raises a paw: the right symbolises money, the left luck. A dark-blue screen with violet glow and red silk knots presents a carousel of five golden-symbol options. Its 5×3 grid uses 243 ways to win.
Gold selection, stake and jackpot
Before a regular spin, one to five premium symbol types can be golden: koi, turtle, phoenix, panda and tiger have ordinary and golden twins. Each choice uses separate strips; one golden type corresponds to configuration number 5, while five include the full set. Numbers are not mapped to animal names. The total stake is the base multiplied by the chosen mode’s factor.
1 — Stake factor: x8; Associated prize: —; Prize in base bets: —; In total bets: —.
2 — Stake factor: x16; Associated prize: Mini; Prize in base bets: x2 000; In total bets: x125.
3 — Stake factor: x38; Associated prize: Minor; Prize in base bets: x3 750; In total bets: ≈x98.7.
4 — Stake factor: x68; Associated prize: Major; Prize in base bets: x75 000; In total bets: ≈x1 102.9.
5 — Stake factor: x88; Associated prize: Grand; Prize in base bets: x200 000; In total bets: ≈x2 272.7.
The final column divides the base prize by the associated mode’s stake factor. The table shows mode-to-prize links, without confirming lower-jackpot availability in higher modes. Minor’s smaller prize-to-price ratio than Mini does not establish a better mode: prize probabilities are unspecified. With one golden type, Coin Wilds and the coin meter are disabled.
Pays and golden strips
| Symbol | 3 of a kind | 4 of a kind | 5 of a kind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Golden number 1 | 100 | 200 | 1,000 |
| Golden number 2 | 50 | 100 | 500 |
| Golden number 3 | 40 | 80 | 400 |
| Golden number 4 | 25 | 50 | 250 |
| Golden number 5 | 10 | 20 | 100 |
| Plain high and all low symbols | 5 | 10 | 50 |
| Scatter (of the total bet) | 5 | 10 | 50 |
Regular values use units of the bet per way; its relationship to the total stake is unspecified. The Scatter row is the exception, using total-bet values. The table does not justify arbitrarily dividing ordinary values by the way count. A given golden type keeps its pay scale between choices; spin price and strip composition change.
The supplied strip count gives golden-position shares for choices 1–5 of 9.7%, 15.5%, 28.8%, 40.6%, 48.5% in regular play and 16.1%, 27.5%, 46.3%, 78.5%, 95.4% in free spins. These are recorded-position shares rather than verified landing probabilities: stop weights are unknown. These data cannot establish payout frequency or compare the chances of different modes.
Coin Wilds and free spins
Regular Wilds substitute for everything except Scatter on reels 2–4. With at least two golden types, a Coin Wild adds one coin to the meter; the eighth coin triggers the Jackpot round. The round shows 12 coins, and revealing three of one type awards that prize. Autopick can be enabled at any point. Meter carryover after a mode change is unspecified.
Three or more scatters anywhere give ten free spins; the same event during the bonus adds another ten. Bonus strips remove lower symbols, retaining premiums, Wilds and Scatters. Every Coin Wild here immediately starts a jackpot round. The listed bonus limit is 3,000x, matching the overall maximum; precise termination at the limit is not described.
Paid features and ambiguous statistics
The buy costs 55x with any selection; the next spin places three scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5. Price adjusts with the stake, but whether its unit is base or total bet is unspecified. Chance x2 uses a 1.5x factor and claims a doubled bonus chance. The functions exclude each other; some versions disable purchases. RTP is 96.38% across regular play, Chance and buys. The studio calls risk medium-high; the specification box classifies it as high.
The studio lists Hit Rate 4.16 and FS Rate 164 without explaining their units or providing selection-specific rates. We do not convert them into a payout percentage or an interval between bonuses. The number 75,187,970 beside the maximum also lacks an explanation of its units, so a 1:N chance cannot be asserted. The table’s Grand alone is below the overall limit, without establishing the combined total with other wins.
BGaming provider page combines pre-spin choices with coin accumulation; Quickspin’s Sakura Fortune uses an eastern theme with different maths.
