Aviator review

Aviator is a crash game from Spribe that first launched in February 2019 and has since become the studio’s signature title. Reels are replaced by a plane that climbs while a multiplier rises with it, and your only job is to cash out before the plane flies away. Everyone shares the same round, and a chat panel runs alongside it. Spribe traces the format back to video games and crypto casinos and counts itself among the first suppliers to bring it to mainstream operators. Unlike a slot, the decision here is yours: the flight’s end point is fixed in advance, but the moment you leave is yours.

Exponential growth and the cash-out boundary

The multiplier does not rise at a steady pace. The rules print the formula: multiplier = ⌊100 · e0.000083 · t⌋ / 100, where t is flight time in milliseconds. That is exponential growth, rounded down to two decimals: slow at first, then faster and faster. Every round starts at 1x.

Multiplier Time from take-off
1.5x ≈ 4.9 s
2x ≈ 8.4 s
3x ≈ 13.2 s
5x ≈ 19.4 s
10x ≈ 27.7 s
100x ≈ 55.5 s

Table times describe display growth if the flight is still running, rather than the probability of surviving to a target. The fly-away point is determined before the round. A history entry of “crashed at 1.25x” means the last displayed value was 1.24x: the plane is already gone at 1.25x.

Two bets, Auto Bet and Auto Cash Out

Before take-off, a stake is set with +/− buttons, presets or manual entry and confirmed with Bet. It can be cancelled before the start. Cash Out returns the stake times the current multiplier; if the plane leaves first, the bet loses. A + button adds the second panel. Both bets belong to one flight rather than independent rounds.

The Auto tab offers Auto Cash Out at a chosen multiplier and Auto Play with stop conditions based on balance changes or a single large win. One detail worth knowing: if the plane flies away at exactly your auto cash-out multiplier, the round counts as a loss. Spribe’s example sets Auto Cash Out at 1.5x; the plane leaves at 1.5x and the bet is lost.

Auto Bet and Auto Cash Out are separate switches. Auto Bet only places a stake for you every round, and you still have to cash out by hand. For hands-free play you need both. Auto Play also asks for a number of rounds from a preset list plus at least one stop condition, and a Stop button ends the run at any time.

For two hypothetical bets of one, with auto targets of 1.5x and 5x: departure before or at 1.5x loses both, net −2; a successful first cash-out with departure before or at 5x returns 1.5, net −0.5; both successful cash-outs return 6.5, net +4.5. Equality of the target and fly-away point does not count as success. This accounts for outcomes without unconfirmed probabilities.

Four seeds and result verification

Outcomes are Provably Fair: each result combines a server seed with seeds from the first players to bet, and you can verify any round in the game. Spribe’s longer explanation adds the specifics. First comes a server seed, a random 16-character string from the operator; before the round, anyone can see its SHA256 fingerprint in the settings. When the round starts, the game merges that seed with the client seeds of the first three players to bet, turns the combined string into a SHA512 hash and derives the multiplier from it.

The prepublished SHA256 commits the server seed for later verification; it does not reveal the future outcome. A personal client seed can be changed in Provably Fair Settings only without an active bet. The first three bettors contribute to generation. Random room assignment separates rounds and seeds; rooms can be changed through the menu and use identical maths. Previous sequences do not reveal a new server seed.

RTP and automatic cash-out at limits

Spribe lists 97% RTP and an average of three instant departures per hundred rounds. what RTP really promises is theoretical return rather than the probability of reaching any chosen multiplier. A chance formula of 0.97/x cannot be derived from that figure alone, especially without the rounded endpoint distribution and the strict target-exceedance rule. Target and streak frequencies are not forecast here.

The catalogue shows stakes of 0.1–100 and high volatility, but the operator sets actual limits. Limits lists the maximum award from one bet and the maximum multiplier; reaching either automatically cashes out that bet. A payout limit is not a fixed universal ceiling across operators.

The social layer is what sets Aviator apart from solo games. Live Bets lists every bet in the round, the Top tab shows the biggest wins and multipliers, and the Rain feature lets the operator or other players drop free bets into the chat. Top can be filtered by day, month or year, and you can copy your own round result straight into the chat.

Sending Rain means setting an amount per player and a number of recipients; a message with a Claim button then appears in chat. Claimed free bets sit under Free Bets in the menu, each with an expiry date and, where the operator sets one, a minimum cash-out multiplier. Chat access is also in the operator’s hands: the chat rules allow thresholds on balance, recent wagering and account age, and a zero balance locks you out.

If your connection drops while a bet is live, the game cashes it out at the current multiplier. Idle sessions are closed after a set time, and in the event of a hardware or software malfunction affected bets are voided and refunded.

Chat rules prohibit begging for Rain, loans or tips: messages are blocked and repeated offences can lead to a ban. Rain has no guaranteed distribution schedule. On computers, Live Bets sits left and chat right; on phones, the list sits below bets and chat opens through the upper-right icon.

Spribe’s news archive fills in the timeline. The game first went live on Adjarabet, the Georgian brand then owned by Paddy Power Betfair. Version 2.0 followed in August 2019: the studio said it ran 40% faster, came with a rebuilt mobile version that mirrored desktop, and added emojis, GIFs and the Rain feature to the chat. Two months earlier, on 14 June 2019, Spribe had released its Turbo Games pack with Dice, Plinko, Mines, Goal and three other instant games.

By December 2020, when Spribe received its UKGC licence, Aviator was live with more than 300 operators. In 2022 the studio said the game was certified in over 20 jurisdictions. In October 2023 Spribe signed on as a UFC marketing partner and described Aviator as the world’s most-played crash game, with more than 10 million monthly players. Two neighbouring flight formats

The guide to crash mechanics and the Aviator clones describes the wider format. In Aviamasters, a plane collects multipliers and lands on a carrier without a cash-out button. BGaming’s Space XY uses a rocket and several bets in one round. Aviator has no ordinary video-slot free spins or feature rounds.

Pros

  • Two bet boxes and automatic cash-out settings are available.
  • Provably Fair verification and player chat are described.

Cons

  • High volatility.
  • Manual cash-out must occur before the plane disappears.
