Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS review
BGaming released Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS on 20 October 2022 as a sequel to Elvis Frog in Vegas. Neon Vegas, palms and green skyscrapers surround a frog in a white suit. Unlike the first game, payouts use ways, while the new Lightning symbol splits blocks in Coin Respin.
Ways and payouts
The game has six reels, and each reel is split by height into blocks of one, two or four cells. Any reel can hold from 2 to 8 symbols. The number of ways is the product of the symbol counts on all six reels, and that is the essence of TRUEWAYS.
The range is 64 to 262,144 ways, with the current count displayed in the corner. Wins start on reel 1 across adjacent reels with at least three symbols; each way pays separately and awards add together. Table values use the total bet. The lady frog, Cadillac, guitar and microphone are higher symbols; A, K, Q and J are lower ones, and the green star is the scatter.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lady frog | 0.5 | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| Pink Cadillac | 0.4 | 0.8 | 1.5 | 3 |
| Blue guitar | 0.3 | 0.5 | 1 | 2 |
| Microphone | 0.2 | 0.3 | 0.5 | 1 |
| A, K, Q, J | 0.1 | 0.2 | 0.3 | 0.5 |
| Scatter (anywhere) | 2 | 5 | 10 | 20 |
Wilds and free spins
The Elvis frog lands only on reels two to five and stands in for everything but the scatter. In the base game it is a plain substitution. In free spins each Wild carries a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5, the multipliers of a single spin are added together, and the total applies to all winning combinations.
| Scatters | Spins on start | Added on a retrigger |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | no start | +5 |
| 4 | 12 | +12 |
| 5 | 15 | +15 |
| 6 | 20 | +20 |
This is the game-rule schedule. The studio’s brief description only says that three or more scatters add five spins, so the retrigger descriptions differ. Wild multipliers from one spin add together, not those from separate spins.
Coin Respin, Lightning and jackpots
The second bonus starts with six or more coins in one base-game spin. The round is played with coins only. The coins that triggered it stay put, the other cells are empty and receive new coins during respins. There are three respins, and each time a coin or lightning lands the counter goes back to three.
Coin values are 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x and 100x the bet. The brief description stops at 1x–20x, but game rules include 100x. Values are summed after respins run out or available positions fill. Starting geometry is retained from the triggering spin, with 12 to 48 blocks.
Lightning appears only in Coin Respin and drops into a block of one of three sizes. The block it takes is divided into two empty blocks of a smaller size: a big one splits into two medium ones and a medium one into two small ones. Coins can land in the new empty blocks from the next respin.
If lightning drops into a small block, it cannot be divided further. The game randomly selects a filled big or medium block and splits it, retaining the win on both halves. Splitting changes the number and size of positions. Without coin weights and stop-selection probabilities, this does not establish an increase in full-grid odds.
Mini and Major award 20x and 100x when their matching coin lands; Mega awards 1,000x for filling all 48 positions. These are fixed bet multiples rather than progressive jackpots. Coin and jackpot probabilities and Lightning’s effect on Mega odds are undisclosed.
The buy, Chance and game figures
Either bonus can be selected for a 100x buy. Chance x2 to Win adds 100% to the spin cost in the demo and raises the chances of stars and coins; the exact probability change is unspecified. Buying and Chance are mutually exclusive. Rules list 96.70% RTP for all modes, very high volatility and a 5,000x maximum. The described demo configuration lists maximum odds of 1:7,743,335; applicability to other builds and modes is unconfirmed. Hit Rate 4.33 and FS Rate 229 are published without defined units and do not establish a payout percentage or bonus interval.
