Tombstone: No Mercy review
Tombstone: No Mercy arrived on 16 April 2024 as the third Nolimit City western. The saloon, dusty street, timber frame and spaghetti-western music bring back El Gordo, Edda Star and Skinny Joe. It develops the first Tombstone formula with xBet and direct bonus access.
Fixed ways and xNudge
The layout carries over unchanged. The outer reels hold two symbols each and the middle three hold three, and ways are counted from the leftmost reel. Multiply the reel heights, 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 2, and you get 108. Some listings tag the game as xWays, but the official page describes a fixed 108 ways.
J–A are lower symbols, with revolver, horseshoe, money, gold bar and dynamite above them. Exact pays and minimum combination lengths are absent. Badges do not pay: Sheriff on the first and Marshall on the last unlock bonuses. Matching-cell counts on neighbouring reels multiply: 1, 2, 3 and 1 produce six four-symbol ways.
Across 5 reels, the three-row Outlaw Wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 and can replace any symbol other than scatters and badges. A partly visible outlaw always slides until the whole figure shows, and each slide lifts the win multiplier by 1.
Since every middle reel holds three rows, a single landing can produce at most a two-step slide. Only a hat showing means two steps and +2. Head and torso showing means one step and +1. A clean landing leaves the multiplier alone, even though the Wild still covers its whole reel.
Nudge increments add rather than multiply. A fully visible Outlaw adds no nudge but occupies its reel’s three positions. The shared multiplier’s initial value, settlement order for simultaneous wins and detailed combination of several Outlaws are not decoded.
Three bonuses and retained progress
Justice Spins — Trigger: Sheriff + Marshall; Spins: 3; Carries over: Sticky Wilds; Extensions: —.
Gunslinger Spins — Trigger: 3 scatters; Spins: 10; Carries over: Multiplier; Extensions: 1 scatter = +1, 2 scatters = +3.
Bounty Spins — Trigger: Sheriff + 3 scatters + Marshall; Spins: 12; Carries over: Wilds and multiplier; Extensions: 1 scatter = +1, 2 scatters = +3.
Justice retains landed Outlaws through the final spin; Gunslinger retains the multiplier but not Wilds; Bounty combines both. In Gunslinger and Bounty a lone Scatter adds one spin and a pair three. A retrigger limit is unspecified. An accumulated coefficient does not make non-paying combinations win.
An illustrative full centre of three Wild reels gives 3×3×3=27 arrangements. One gold bar on the first and two on the last produce 54 five-symbol ways before the coefficient. This calculates a specified grid rather than guaranteeing that short Justice usually outpays longer Gunslinger.

xBet, buying and published maths
xBet at x2 guarantees a Scatter or Outlaw and states a doubled free-spin frequency. The x5 option guarantees an Outlaw on reel 2–4 without a separate bonus-frequency promise. Pays remain based on the base bet. Guaranteeing a special symbol does not guarantee a pay.
Buys cost x65–x2,310 where permitted, including Bounty. Each option’s exact price and buy and xBet RTPs are absent. The minimum price cannot be assigned to a particular bonus or regular RTP transferred to surcharges. Regular figures are 96.05% RTP, a 20.32% hit rate, free spins once per 174 spins on average and Extreme risk. The interval is an average rather than a trigger deadline.
The official 16,480x maximum differs from a circulating third-party 50,000x. Cap probability and termination order are unspecified. Individual frequencies for the three bonuses are also absent, so the aggregate interval cannot be used as Bounty’s frequency.
Returning to the original and later chapters
Tombstone from 2019 has the same grid, 96.19% RTP with 94.20% and 90.27% variants, a 20.44% hit rate, an 11,456x maximum and 0.10–100 bets. It had no paid modes. Deadwood and Tombstone R.I.P. introduced xSplit and xRIP; the latter does not pay amounts below the bet and has a 9.08% hit rate.
Tombstone Slaughter from 2025 has six reels, a separate revolver reel and 500,000x. 2026’s Tombstone Begins uses a 4-5-5-5-4 grid, 22 lines and respins. Fire in the Hole 2 offers another Nolimit City mechanic. No Mercy keeps fixed ways and three distinct retention rules.
