100 Big Bass Splash spins on a first deposit of £10+, no wagering

MrQ combines UK slots, Slingo and bingo on one account. Promotional winnings carry no wagering, but offers differ in games, deadlines and compatibility. The one-minute guarantee concerns processing rather than bank receipt. Its limited cashier, medium protection of customer funds and the previous licensee’s regulatory history are relevant to the choice.

MrQ review

It’s the evening, there’s £10 on the balance, and you fancy a few spins before dropping into a bingo room where tickets cost a penny. MrQ doesn’t make you open a second account for that: slots, Slingo, live dealer tables and bingo all run off one wallet. The site’s British licence covers exactly two kinds of gambling, remote casino and remote bingo. So there is no sports betting and no peer-to-peer poker, and everything else sits under the Slots, Live Casino and Bingo tabs.

Operator and licence

The brand launched in 2018, according to the Lindar careers site, which lists 124 people on the MrQ team. Lindar Media Limited (Queens House, 58 Victoria Street, St Albans) has held a Gambling Commission licence since 4 April 2018 and used to be the licensee for mrq.com itself. Today the regulator’s register shows it holding a gambling software licence (051250-R-328289-009), with the mrq.com domain marked inactive on its record. The website of the in-house studio Goosicorn describes itself as a Lindar product.

Player accounts are run by Tek Fox Ltd, a Maltese company numbered C96152 at The Brewhouse, Mdina Road, Birkirkara. On the Gambling Commission register it is account 60629, with two licences sharing the number 060629-R-337532-005, both active since 29 September 2023. The record lists one trading name, mr q, and one domain, www.mrq.com. The Maltese address changes nothing for players: checks, disputes and protections fall under the British regulator, and the customer contract is governed by the law of England and Wales.

Player money sits in a separate client account, kept apart from the company’s operating and corporate funds. The regulator rates that arrangement as medium protection. If the company went bust, those balances would be distributed under Gambling Commission rules, but this is not a trust run by an independent trustee, which is what earns the high rating.

Much of the brand’s profile came from sport. In 2023 MrQ was lead partner of the UK Snooker Championship, one of the Triple Crown events, played at the York Barbican from 25 November to 3 December. In the 2023/24 season it was principal partner of Watford FC in the Championship.

The previous operator’s regulatory settlement

On 20 September 2023 the Gambling Commission published a settlement with Lindar Media Limited, which was then trading as Mr Q. The company paid £690,947, including a £50,947 divestment directed to socially responsible causes. The investigation covered July 2021 to September 2022.

On anti-money laundering, the regulator found a weak risk assessment. Every new customer was automatically treated as low risk, thresholds let people deposit or lose £10,000 without any intervention, and AML policies were not reviewed on time. On player protection, triggers fired late, and some customers lost more than £10,000 before anyone contacted them. The list also included a Reddit ad featuring cartoon Spiderman figures in June 2022, child-appealing slot artwork on open pages of the site, a missed contribution to problem gambling support for 2021, and the departure of the head of compliance, which was never reported to the regulator.

Tek Fox Ltd’s licences took effect nine days after the settlement was published. Its own register record shows no sanctions.

Slots and Goosicorn exclusives

The homepage counts more than 900 games, while the About page talks of over a thousand, and most of that catalogue is slots. The selection includes 25 studios. Suppliers include Pragmatic Play, Blueprint, Games Global, Play’n Go, NetEnt, Red Tiger Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Push Gaming, Hacksaw, NoLimit City, Relax Gaming, Elk Studios, Thunderkick and Light & Wonder. Megaways and jackpot games have their own collections.

Goosicorn is MrQ’s own studio, set up in 2022. Its games are exclusive and don’t appear on other sites. The first three slots arrived in March 2023. Book of Dr. Acula (RTP 96.02%) is built around free spins with an expanding symbol that covers the whole reel. Las Vegas Joy (96.05%) is a classic with fruit, bells and a wild. Bjorn To Be Wild (95.40%) offers more than 4,000 paylines, cascading wins and a multiplier up to 10x in its Mega Free Spins mode. The fourth title in the studio’s section today is Mayan Tower.

Spaceman uses provably fair technology to verify completed rounds. Each round’s result shows immediately, and the last 50 to 500 rounds come with encrypted results and a hash, so you can recalculate any outcome yourself. Other slots use a random number generator, and if what the screen showed differs from the game server’s record, the server record wins.

Slingo: reels meet a bingo card

Slingo crosses a slot with bingo. The reels throw up numbers, matches get marked on a grid, and completed lines across, down or diagonally move you up a prize ladder towards a full house. A Wild lets you mark any number on its reel, a Super Wild any square on the board, and an X symbol blocks the reel for that spin.

Slingo Ante Up shows how the stake works. Before playing you pick 9 to 16 base spins: 10 is the standard, and each extra one raises the total bet. Stakes run from 10p to £20, a full house pays 500x, and the RTP is 97.10%. Slingo Super Spin returns 96.71% with a top win of 5,000x the stake.

There are more than 50 Slingo games in total, including Slingo Rainbow Riches, Slingo Starburst and Slingo Deal or No Deal. Saucy Slingo is found only here: six Wilds or Super Wilds open the shot at its top prize. Since 13 July 2023 MrQ has handed out free spins on Slingo too, by its own account the first British operator to do so. They turn up in the rewards tab, and winnings from them land as cash.

Live tables and game shows

Evolution arrived at MrQ on 4 February 2022, bringing Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time and Monopoly Live. The live section now also carries Pragmatic Play and OnAir tables. Dealers work around the clock with real cards and a real wheel, and on a phone the tables open in portrait or landscape.

The live selection has more than 30 blackjack tables and 20 roulette wheels. Roulette starts at 20p a spin and card games at £1. Classic tables include Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker and Craps Live; the game shows add Mega Ball, Dream Catcher and Sweet Bonanza Candyland. OnAir contributes Diamond Rush Roulette, Airwave Roulette, Majestic Wheel Show, 9 Pots O Gold Streamicon and Blackjack London.

Return to player varies a lot across the live floor. Infinite Blackjack sits at 99.47%, Blackjack London at 99.44%, Lightning Roulette at 97.30%, Monopoly Live at 96.23% and Crazy Time at 96.08%. That gap of more than three points between the best blackjack and a wheel show adds up over a long session.

Bingo rooms, tickets and schedules

MrQ runs its own bingo, with named rooms, schedules and rollover jackpots. The main format is 90-ball on a 3×9 ticket, with prizes for one line, two lines and a full house. There is also Full Monty, a 75-ball game with a rollover jackpot. An auto-dabber marks the numbers and wins are paid automatically, so nobody has to shout “bingo”. A game lasts about ten minutes, and the Quick Buy button grabs a batch of tickets at once.

Room Format Ticket price When it runs
Pinch a Penny 90-ball, rollover jackpot 1p 24/7
Dab & Disco 90-ball, rollover jackpot 20p 24/7
Cheap as Chips 90-ball, rollover jackpot 10p 7pm–11pm
Tropic Like It’s Hot picture bingo 10p 6pm–10pm
On the House 90-ball free, 6 tickets 12pm–midnight

On the House is open to anyone who has deposited at least £10 in the past 30 days. Games start every 10 minutes, and winnings withdraw like any other cash. Picture bingo swaps numbers for images on a 3×3 card: the first player to fill all nine squares wins, and a game has no more than 30 calls. Quick Buy in that room sells up to 96 tickets in one go.

On the House has a 50p full-house prize per game. That is the room’s prize, not a promise of 50p for every participant or repayment of their deposit. Six free tickets provide six cards in a draw; their value is not added to the cash balance. This makes free bingo different from a pack of promotional slot spins.

The rooms have a chat with strict rules. It is English only, swearing, threats and harassment are banned, and every conversation is logged.

Promotions without wagering requirements

The key rule sits right in the general terms: prizes and winnings from promotions are paid in cash and carry no wagering requirement. Winnings from the welcome spins are uncapped, though the game provider may run security checks on a large win.

The first 100 spins and the phone-verification offer

The first successful deposit of at least £10 awards 100 Big Bass Splash spins at 10p each. Together they provide £10 of stakes in that game. This is not £10 added to the cash wallet: the balance receives whatever the spins actually win. Use them within 48 hours; unused spins are then removed. The award is available once and excludes customers in Northern Ireland.

A separate mobile-verification offer gives 10 Squealin Riches spins at 20p each. It requires an age check, a deposit of at least £10 and the four-digit SMS code. Those spins have a 24-hour deadline. The offer is restricted to its intended recipients, so confirming a phone number does not promise a gift to every account. Q’s Friday Night Frenzy also drops spins to random players at 5pm on Fridays without an opt-in.

Refer a Friend: 100 spins for one person, 50 for the other

The reward is split between two people. The newcomer receives 100 spins and the referrer 50. Both sets use Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish 3 Megaways Rapid Fire, rather than the ordinary welcome game.

Participant Required steps Award
New friend Register through the link, pass the age check, deposit and wager at least £10 100 spins at 10p
Referrer Also deposit and wager at least £10 on their own account 50 spins at 10p

Live casino, table games and excluded titles do not qualify. Depositing without wagering does not finish the requirement. Once credited, the spins must be used within seven days. Their total stake value is £10 for the friend and £5 for the referrer; the game determines the cash outcome. There is no limit on the number of referrals.

The newcomer needs to choose this reward or the regular welcome spins. A specific Refer a Friend condition prohibits combining them. The promotion’s general FAQ says a welcome offer may be available, but the incompatibility clause remains in its terms. Consequently, “100 plus another 100” is not a promised award for one registration. Creating a second account to claim both sets is prohibited.

From 4 March 2026 to 3 March 2027, Drops & Wins runs with Pragmatic Play across 60-odd of the studio’s slots. The minimum qualifying stake is £0.15. Daily tournaments rank players by win multiplier and pay the top 500, with the first 5,000 qualifying bets per day counting, while the weekly drops build wheel pieces into guaranteed spins. MrQ has no loyalty tiers or VIP club; anything personal shows up in the rewards tab instead.

Promotional winnings can be taken back for abuse: multiple accounts, equal or low-margin betting, collusion, VPN use or tampering with the software.

Registration, verification and withdrawals

Who can join and which documents are accepted

You must be 18 and located in the United Kingdom to open an account. Registration asks for your full name, date of birth, address, email and a password. Only one account is allowed, and anyone registered with GAMSTOP or self-excluded elsewhere is turned away. Hiding your location behind a VPN or proxy is forbidden.

Name, address and date of birth are confirmed before depositing and placing the first bet. Usually that happens electronically when you add a payment method. If the automatic check fails, documents are requested by email, and uploads are handled by the Yoti service. Accepted paperwork:

  • identity: passport, UK or non-UK driving licence, non-UK national ID card, Citizencard;
  • address: gas, electricity, water or council tax bill, a letter from central or local government, or a bank or building society letter or statement, issued within the last 90 days;
  • source of funds: bank statements, payslips, tax returns, inheritance documents.

Documents can be requested at any time, and deposits and withdrawals can be restricted until checks are done. Large withdrawals get enhanced checks. The terms also allow limits on accounts showing signs of financial difficulty such as bankruptcy or a debt relief arrangement, and the company uses credit reference agencies to assess financial vulnerability.

Deposits and withdrawals through the same method

Every method has a £10 minimum deposit. There are no fees on the way in or out, apart from a possible admin charge on an international bank wire. Credit cards have been refused since 14 April 2020, as have business accounts and cards in someone else’s name. An account can hold up to five methods, with no more than three cards and one PayPal account. Pay by phone bill has been switched off.

Method Maximum single deposit How long money takes after a withdrawal is processed
Visa and Mastercard debit £2,000 about 4 hours via Visa Direct, otherwise 3–5 days
PayPal £5,500 up to 6 hours
Instant Bank Transfer (open banking) shown in the cashier up to 40 minutes
Apple Pay shown in the cashier —

Payouts return through the deposit method. If it is unavailable, you must establish that the replacement method belongs to you. The usual withdrawal minimum is £10. When the entire remaining balance is smaller, the terms allow you to request all of it through support. Another deposit just to reach the minimum is not required.

What the 60-second guarantee covers

Since 27 October 2025, the guarantee has covered MrQ’s processing of the request. It does not promise money in your bank within a minute. If an operator-caused delay breaks that deadline, £10 cash is credited within one business day. Compensation is available once per calendar day and can be withdrawn.

Cause of the wait Guarantee treatment
Processing delay caused by MrQ £10 compensation when the conditions are met
Identity, funding or rule-compliance checks Excluded
Expired or blocked card Excluded
Maintenance or a third-party outage Excluded

Mobile-carrier funding is also excluded from the guarantee. After processing, the transfer still travels through the payment service and bank. For example, a timely processed £80 request remains an £80 payout; the separate £10 arises only from a qualifying failure of the guarantee. Compensation does not turn every bank delay into an operator breach or remove an outstanding document check.

Apps and support

The site is built for phones: HTML5 games open in Chrome or Safari with nothing to install. There are apps as well. The App Store version needs iOS 15.1 or later, weighs 58.1 MB, is available only in the UK store and supports Face ID or Touch ID log-in; it holds a 4.5 rating from more than 6,000 reviews. The Android app on Google Play has over 100,000 downloads, a 4.2 rating and a PEGI 18 label. Both list Lindar Media Limited as developer.

Support answers through live chat, which also opens in a mobile browser, and by email at [email protected]. The site doesn’t publish chat opening hours.

Limits and breaks from play

There are two kinds of money limits. A deposit limit simply caps top-ups per day, week or month, with periods following the calendar. A net deposit limit counts what you put in minus what you took out over the same period. With both switched on, the stricter one applies. Lowering a limit is instant, while raising or removing one takes 24 hours and then needs confirming. Once a year the site prompts you to set a limit, and every six months it asks you to review your activity.

Reality checks can be set from 30 minutes to 4 hours. A time-out closes the account for anything from 24 hours to six weeks and lifts by itself. Self-exclusion comes in 6 or 9 months, one year or five years, and it cannot be shortened or reversed. When it ends, the account does not reopen on its own: you have to email the Player Experience team, and a request made within seven years of the exclusion ending carries an extra 24-hour wait. Opening a new account instead of returning to the old one counts as a breach.

MrQ is part of GAMSTOP. One request at gamstop.co.uk or on 0800 138 6518 (8am to midnight) blocks you from every participating UK site for six months, one year or five years. The safer gambling page also lists GamCare (0808 8020 133), Gambling Therapy and Gamblers Anonymous, links to the GamBlock and Gamban blockers and the Net Nanny and CYBERsitter parental filters, and suggests asking your bank to block gambling payments on your card.

Complaints and IBAS

Complaints go to support by email. Receipt is acknowledged within 24 hours, and a final answer is due within eight weeks. If it doesn’t satisfy you, the dispute can go to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service at PO Box 62639, London EC3P 3AS, phone 020 7347 5883.

The company may close an account at any time without notice, returning the balance unless the player broke the rules. A chargeback on a deposit is also a breach: the account is frozen while it is investigated, and the money can be recovered through the courts. When a game malfunctions, MrQ may suspend it, void the affected bets and correct balances. Money already played through games is not refunded.

FAQ

Can I play at MrQ from Northern Ireland?

The general terms refer to customers located in the United Kingdom, while the Gambling Commission licence covers Great Britain. The first-deposit welcome spins explicitly exclude customers based in Northern Ireland.

Can I cancel a withdrawal I've already requested and put the money back on my balance?

No. Following Gambling Commission guidance, MrQ no longer accepts withdrawal cancellations: the money goes to your payment method and a confirmation arrives by email.

Why am I asked to deposit with an old card before I can withdraw to it?

A payment method unused for more than six months counts as inactive. To withdraw to it again, you have to reactivate it with a deposit of at least £10.

What happens to my stake if I leave a game mid-round?

An unfinished game has to be completed within 90 days. Otherwise both the stake and any winnings may be forfeited.

Is there a fee for an inactive account, and what happens to a small balance when I close it?

There is no inactivity fee. On ordinary voluntary closure, a balance up to £0.99 is retained unless you request its return. Operator-initiated closure and self-exclusion have separate small-balance rules: it may be deducted as a fee, or donated to charity on self-exclusion. Returning after ordinary closure uses the original account.

What happens to my MrQ account when a GAMSTOP exclusion ends?

Once you are removed from the GAMSTOP register, the account reactivates automatically, but a monthly net deposit limit is applied to it straight away.
