Gemix 2 review
The gnome prospector, Sky Knight, Princess and Wizard return for precious stones. Play’n GO released Gemix 2 on 8 July 2021. Premium gems include stars, hearts and moons, while low symbols use simple shapes such as rectangles. Wilds appear as the heroes’ belongings: a lantern, mirror, book and shield.
Clusters and the paytable
On the 7×7 grid, groups of five or more connected matching symbols pay. Winning stones disappear, the rest fall and new stones arrive from above; cascades continue until there are no combinations. Winning symbols, including contributing Wilds, feed the current round’s counter. Paytable figures from the rules sheet have no labelled units and cannot be treated as confirmed total-bet multiples.

Crystal Charge and Super Charge
At 25 winning symbols, once cascades end, Crystal Charge randomly activates one of four effects. Play and meter collection then continue. Chain Lightning sends an arc between two corner symbols, transforming affected gems into one of them. Light Beam changes the row and column through a selected symbol. Crystal Warp transforms the selected symbol and all its copies. Nova Blast removes neighbours in a circle seven symbols across and leaves a core of matching gems.
At 50 symbols, Super Charge activates all four effects and a 2x multiplier. Each further 50 symbols adds 2x up to 20x. Only the highest multiplier applies to a cluster: different sources neither add nor multiply together. Effects do not pay by themselves; payouts depend on the clusters they create.
Worlds and guardian Wilds
Each of four worlds requires two patterns, completed by winning on highlighted cells. Wins on other cells do not fill the pattern. Completing both opens the next world, whose guardian appears first. Wilds substitute for any symbol and usually vanish when they win. Crystal Charge turns every Wild in the current round into a Miner Wild.
| World | How the wild works |
|---|---|
| Sky Knight | Up to two 2×2 Mega Wilds, each acts as one symbol and carries a +X1 multiplier; if both are in one combination the multiplier applies once |
| Miner | Up to 10 wilds drop from the top and take different cells in place of regular symbols |
| Princess | An edge symbol becomes wild and spreads to neighbours until it reaches the edge of the grid |
| Wizard | Up to 5 sticky wilds do not fall and do not vanish after a win, and stay for one round or until the meter fires |
Completing a world offers Pick a Pocket with the current World Bonus. Its size grows with any round win, but the precise formula and prize set are not described. Completing four worlds therefore offers up to four Pick a Pocket rounds. Typical pattern-completion time and reset behaviour after a full run are not specified.
Configurations and predecessors
Available RTPs are 96.26%, 94.27%, 91.27%, 87.26% and 84.26%; the operator selects the setting shown in the game rules. Volatility is high, rated 9. The 7,500x maximum corresponds to 750,000 exposure at a 100 stake; the sheet gives odds below one in 100 million. Hit and bonus frequencies are not provided.
Each spin costs ten coins; denominations of 0.01–10.00 give stakes of 0.10–100. The default set contains 22 values, including 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.12 and 0.16. The service entry for one fixed line describes the stake model rather than line-based payouts on the grid.
