Thunderkick's Halloween slot: a hexagonal grid and Multiplier Wilds that merge into bigger ones.

Greedy Pumpking review

Greedy Pumpking is Thunderkick’s announced Halloween slot, scheduled for 21 October 2026. The Pumpkin King gathers sweets on a honeycomb while Multiplier Wilds move and merge. The supplied prerelease material lists 94.15% RTP, high volatility and a 10,000x ceiling; it does not include the complete rulebook.

Seven columns and forty-five hexagons

The grid has seven columns whose heights alternate: six cells, seven, six again and so on, which the studio writes as 6-7-6-7-6-7-6. Four columns of six and three of seven make 45 cells. Each column sits half a cell lower or higher than its neighbours, so the board forms a honeycomb rather than a rectangle.

At least five matching sweets must connect along edges, without a first-reel requirement or paylines. An interior cell has six neighbours versus four on a square grid. Twenty-two cells form the boundary and twenty-three lie inside. These are connection directions rather than measured hit rates: without symbol weights, frequent small groups or a centre advantage cannot be predicted. The cluster pays guide explains the principle.

A promotional frame connects four purple candies in the left column with a neighbouring fifth; an award of one at bet ten means 0.1x for that displayed case. It does not replace the full paytable or establish values for other sweets.

Moving and merging pumpkins

Promotional views show Multiplier Wilds from 1x to 5x and at 28x, plus a crowned pumpkin with an unexplained role. Step length, direction selection and multiplier scope—cluster or whole spin—are undisclosed. Meeting Wilds become one with a higher value, but the merge formula is unspecified. A 28x reading fits both 4×7 and 10+18, so the frame proves neither scheme.

Hypothetical 4x and 5x give 9x under addition or 20x under multiplication; merging a third 3x gives twelve or sixty. These are alternative hypotheses rather than game rules. Merging reduces two occupied Wild positions to one; this does not establish that one Wild can join only one cluster. Such a restriction is undescribed.

Persistent feature Wilds

During free spins, pumpkins persist to the end, including after wins and blanks, and continue moving and merging. One frame shows four at 3x,3x,2x,5x. A Bonus cauldron triggers entry, but required cauldron count, starting spins and extensions are absent. An earlier appearance gives more subsequent spins with a retained pumpkin rather than a fixed number of its wins.

A hypothetical 3x Wild between three neighbouring apples and a fourth can connect five if substitution rules permit it. With an invented 0.5x group value and a cluster-multiplier hypothesis, this gives 1.5x. Both assumptions require rulebook confirmation; the screenshot does not establish them.

Two buys and BET+

A promotional screenshot of the buy menu shows two options at a €1.00 bet. The regular Bonus Game costs €80, or 80x. The Sweeter Bonus Game costs €200, or 200x. Its icon shows pumpkins marked 2x, 3x and 5x beside the cauldron, hinting at a start with Wilds already on the board, though the rules don’t confirm that yet.

Option Price on studio screenshot At a €0.20 bet At a €1 bet
Bonus Game 80x €16 €80
Sweeter Bonus Game 200x €40 €200
BET+ (cost per spin) 2.5x €0.50 €2.50

The BET+ image shows a base bet of ten and a cost of twenty-five,2.5x. A disabled buy button in the same frame does not prove universal mode incompatibility. The surcharge’s effect, feature-probability factor and the three options’ RTPs are undisclosed. Table prices at 0.20 are arithmetic rather than confirmation of an allowed minimum bet. The bonus buy guide explains the general principle.

Return and other Thunderkick releases

Main RTP is 94.15%; stakes, hit and feature rates are absent. The 10,000x ceiling establishes neither attainment frequency, an exclusive feature route nor early termination. Those rules cannot be transferred from other studio titles. The merge method alone proves neither accessibility nor impossibility of the ceiling.

Midas Golden Touch 2 has 94.27% main RTP and 2x/5x chance modes priced at 1.5x/3x; these are not Pumpking BET+ parameters. Esqueleto Explosivo 3 lists 94.22%, and Carnival Queen 2 94.18%. Sugar Rush uses a different cluster-multiplier system. Other releases appear in the Thunderkick catalogue.

Pros

  • The hexagonal grid pays clusters of five or more matching symbols.
  • Multiplier Wilds move and merge.

Cons

  • The reviewed configuration lists 94.15% RTP and high volatility.
