Pragmatic's fortune teller in Megaways form with a multiplier pick in free spins.

Madame Destiny Megaways review

Madame Destiny Megaways arrived on 27 January 2021. Pragmatic Play moves the fortune teller to a variable-height grid, retaining the night forest, wagon, black cat, tarot and candles. A wheel sets the bonus multiplier in advance rather than building it through tumbles.

Heights, ways and the paytable

Reel heights change on every spin, so the number of active ways does too. The outer reels hold up to 7 symbols and the middle four up to 8, counting the top row. At full stretch that’s 7 × 8 × 8 × 8 × 8 × 7 = 200,704.

Every way pays separately, so stacks of matching symbols act like a multiplier. An invented example: two owls on reel 1, three on reel 2 and one on reel 3 make 2 × 3 × 1 = 6 ways, each paying 2x for three owls, which is 12x. Position within a reel doesn’t matter, only how many matching symbols each neighbouring reel holds.

The horizontal top row adds a cell to reels 2–5. Combinations begin on adjacent reels from the left; owls pay from two and others from three. Paid symbols disappear and refill from above until the chain ends. Tumbles work in regular play and the bonus without raising the multiplier; the next pay can still differ by type and ways count.

Owl — 6 in a row: 20x; 5: 10x; 4: 4x; 3: 2x; 2: 1x.

Cat, potion, candles, tarot — 6 in a row: 1.25x–3.75x; 5: 0.5x–2.5x; 4: 0.4x–2x; 3: 0.2x–1x; 2: —.

A, K, Q, J, 10 — 6 in a row: 1x–1.25x; 5: 0.4x–0.5x; 4: 0.2x–0.4x; 3: 0.1x–0.2x; 2: —.

Wilds, Scatters and the two-ring wheel

The fortune teller herself is the Wild. She appears on reels 2 to 6 only, stands in for paying symbols and doubles any win she helps create. She never lands on reel 1, so every win starts with a real symbol.

The combination rule for several doubling Wilds in one way is absent. An example with one Wild and two ways worth two bets each gives 2×2×2=8 bets. Reviews describe combining Wild doubling with the wheel coefficient, without a separate studio explanation.

Crystal balls 3 4 5 6
Instant payout 5x 10x 20x 100x

Three to six crystal balls trigger the bonus and pay the table’s one-time award. Their count does not determine spins or coefficient: the wheel’s two rings select up to 12 spins and up to x25 on wins. The full segment list and weights are unknown, so an average coefficient cannot be calculated.

At least three balls during free spins turn the wheel again for a new batch and coefficient. A retrigger limit is unconfirmed. How the new coefficient applies to remaining old spins is unexplained, so replacement for the whole remainder cannot be asserted. A high value guarantees no pay without qualifying combinations.

Ante, buying and the payout limit

Regular RTP is 96.56%. Ante raises the price to x1.25 with a stated roughly doubled free-spin chance; buying costs x100. Technical data list 96.67% for both. These are returns on money wagered rather than guarantees of savings for the same spin count or recovering one entry’s price. Regular hit and bonus frequencies are undisclosed.

Volatility is high and the maximum pay 5,000x. Listed cap odds are 1:1,071,429 rounds, without decoding immediate termination at the limit. The restriction does not establish a sole cap route through a particular owl, Wild or wheel segment.

The original and other remakes

The first Madame Destiny has a 5×3 grid, doubling Wild, 15 free spins at x3, a +15 retrigger and 96.50% RTP. The source review claims unlimited retriggers without supplying a separate rule. Megaways belongs to the same remake line as Great Rhino and The Dog House Megaways; the announcement also mentioned Congo Cash and Emerald King Rainbow Road. The dog versions’ differences are covered in The Dog House vs The Dog House Megaways.

Bonanza Megaways raises its free-spin multiplier, whereas this game fixes it through the wheel. Buffalo King Megaways arrived in the same year, 2021, with a different theme. Reel heights and cell-count products are part of Megaways mechanics mechanics without determining payout size on their own.
