Coral Casino review
The Coral online account is operated by LC International Limited, Gibraltar company 46808, at Suite 6, Atlantic Suites, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. It belongs to Entain plc. Shop bets and Coral Rewards have a different operator.
Entain’s corporate material has described operations in more than thirty countries and approximately 98% of revenue from regulated markets. The group is in the FTSE 100 and is UK tax resident. These figures describe the group, rather than the countries in which a particular Coral account can be used.
Your online account and the shop on the corner belong to different companies
There is one brand but several legal entities. The shop rules dated January 2025 name a different group company as the party to every bet placed over the counter; it simply trades under the Coral sign. A dispute about a shop bet is that company’s business, not the Gibraltar operator’s.
The Republic of Ireland has separate terms. Racing Super Series names LC International Limited as UK promoter and ElectraWorks Limited for Irish entrants. An offer’s promoter does not by itself establish the operator for every action on an Irish account: the account agreement and a particular promotion serve different purposes.
Coral provides separate verification routes for the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar and Jersey. The British agreement requires a UK location. The interface language does not expand this territory list or change the terms governing the account.
The current operator has not run coral.co.uk from the start. From 2017 the remote licence trading as Coral belonged to Coral Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited. It surrendered that licence on 21 October 2019, and all remote activity moved across to LC International. The Gambling Commission set out this chain in a 2024 response to a freedom of information request.
Since 1926: from a racecourse betting office to 25 million accounts on one platform
Coral began as a modest office taking bets on horse racing, and the site dates the brand to 1926. Over the following century it went through several mergers and acquisitions. Today it has more than 1,000 shops across the UK.
The racing link is still there. Coral has sponsored the Welsh Grand National since 1973 and the Coral-Eclipse since 1976, and it is the longest-standing commercial sponsor at the Cheltenham Festival, going back to 1974. In the 2026/27 season its logo appeared on the front of a football shirt for the first time in a hundred years, when Coral became principal partner of Birmingham City.
The technical base changed as well. On 18 May 2020 GVC, as Entain was then called, finished moving every online brand of the group it had acquired onto its own platform. That migration covered 25 million customer accounts, and Coral has run on the group’s shared technology ever since; the group now spans 35 brands and around 28,000 staff.
What UK licence 054743-R-330863-015 allows
For a player in Britain the document that matters most is the Gambling Commission licence. The regulator’s register ties it to LC International’s account number 54743, and it has been in force since 1 July 2019.
| Regulator | Number | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| UK Gambling Commission | 054743-R-330863-015 (account 54743) | Online casino and bingo, betting on real-world and virtual events, pool betting, acting as a betting intermediary |
| Government of Gibraltar | 010 and 012 | The operator’s licences in its home jurisdiction |
The same register lists the domains the licensee may use, and coral.co.uk appears there as active. A site that calls itself Coral but is missing from that list has nothing to do with the licence.
Thirteen other active trading names of the group share the same number. They all answer to one set of requirements and one operator, so when the regulator finds fault with the company, every one of those sites is caught up in it, as 2022 showed.
The £17m regulatory settlement in 2022
On 17 August 2022 the Commission announced what was then the largest enforcement outcome in its history: Entain paid £17m. Of that, £14m related to LC International’s online business, meaning coral.co.uk and 12 other websites. The remaining £3m concerned the shop estate.
The failings fell into two groups. On player protection, the regulator found weak interaction with customers showing signs of gambling harm and a slow response to heavy spending and losses. It also noted that someone blocked on one brand could open an account on another. On anti-money laundering, the company had accepted large deposits without checking where the money came from, delayed enhanced checks and leaned too heavily on open-source information. The examples in the decision date from 2019 and 2020.
The regulator warned at the time that further serious breaches could put the licence itself at risk. Coral’s help centre now carries separate sections on source of funds checks, one for UK players and one for players in Ireland.
Where a complaint goes: from support chat to an IBAS ruling
The first port of call is customer support. You can reach it by live chat or send a message through the form on the contact page, and the help centre says advisers are always available.
An online complaint moves from the support adviser to their manager and then the Coral Complaints Team at [email protected]. UK acknowledgement is due within 24 hours and a final response within eight weeks. Waiting for information from the complainant can pause that period.
After a final response or deadlock, a settlement dispute can go to IBAS within twelve months of arising. Its telephone number is 020 7347 5883. Shop betting follows the duty manager and customer care before IBAS; that adjudication binds both sides.
How to cap your spending or self-exclude through Gamstop
The self-control tools live in the account settings under spending controls. There you can set a deposit limit, restrict playing time, switch on reality checks that remind you how long a session has run, take a time-out or self-exclude. A separate page next to them holds further gambling controls.
To block yourself from every British licensee at once there is the national Gamstop scheme, and Coral points players to it. The other organisations the brand refers people to are BeGambleAware, GamCare, Gambling Therapy and Take Time to Think.
The restrictions reach beyond the cashier. A customer on a play break, time-out or self-exclusion cannot even get into the free Coral Racing Club. Shops apply a Think 25 policy: entry is 18+, and anyone who looks under 25 is asked for photo ID.
How your data is protected and why the poker client looks at your other programs
Personal and payment data on the site is protected by SSL encryption, and the footer carries the Norton Secured badge. Coral says its games are regularly audited by third-party testing agencies, though it does not name them. The help centre has separate sections on the random number generator, system fairness and account protection.
Poker has the strictest rules. The software belongs to LC International, and registration requires genuine personal details; false ones can get the account closed. Collusion, bots, chip dumping and AI software are all banned. The client may check the applications running on your computer for prohibited programs, although the operator stresses that it does not search large parts of your hard drive at random. Suspected cheating can lead to permanent closure and confiscation of the funds in the account. Suspicious tables can be reported to [email protected].
Games and payment methods at Coral
Inside the casino, poker room and bingo
The casino claims more than 2,000 games, most of them slots. The lobby is split into new games, slots, Megaways, jackpots, exclusives, Slingo, instant wins, table games, live roulette and live casino. Many slots take stakes from 10p, Lock O’ The Irish and Sahara Riches Cash Collect among them. The popular shelf usually features Big Bass Splash, Fishin’ Frenzy, Eye of Horus and Immortal Romance Assembl’em, and every game has its own rules page in the help centre.

Jackpots are the strongest part. The Jackpot King network covers almost 300 slots, Coral has its own Triple Star Jackpot line-up, and Mega Moolah, WowPot, Age of the Gods and Sporting Legends are also on offer. Joker Fortunes and Big Banker Megaways are among the exclusives. Games come from Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Blueprint Gaming, Evolution, NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Games Global, Novomatic and NYX, with Pragmatic Play alone supplying more than a hundred titles.
Live dealer games are grouped in the Live Casino Lounge. Playtech streams them for Coral from its own studios and private rooms, and the brand singles out its Sports Studio tables, Sports TV Blackjack and All Bets Sports Blackjack. There are also game shows such as Monopoly Live, plus live slots. Among the RNG table games, Super Fun 21 Extreme, Coral Roulette Pro and Premium Blackjack stand out.
Poker runs in its own client, which you can download or open in the browser. It offers Texas Hold’em and Omaha, scheduled tournaments, Sit & Go, fast-paced games and Hot Tables, and beginners get slower tables of their own. A player’s profile keeps recently played games and hand history. The bingo lobby has built-in side games; anything that opens in a separate window does not count as one. The casino app is free on Google Play and the App Store.
Cashier and bonus wallets
The cashier takes nine payment methods:
- Visa, Mastercard and Maestro debit cards;
- PayPal;
- Apple Pay and Google Pay;
- the paysafecard personal wallet;
- Pay by Bank, paying straight from your banking app;
- bank transfer.
Card withdrawals can go through Visa Fast Funds, the accelerated Visa payout. UK players face a three-method rule: over a rolling 30 days no more than three debit cards and e-wallets can be in use. Shop deposits and prepaid cards do not count towards it, The cap does not apply to customers in Ireland. The British credit-funding ban also covers wallets funded by a credit card.
Google Pay and Pay by Bank publish a £5–£5,000 deposit range. Google Pay gives the same range for withdrawals, paid to the card used through the service. Pay by Bank permits up to three bank accounts and transactions in the account’s GBP or EUR currency. The separate Fast Bank Transfer method is for withdrawals and does not accept deposits.
Since 14 September 2021, paysafecard funding requires its personal account rather than direct voucher entry. Its name must match the Coral account, and a successful deposit enables wallet withdrawals. Apple Pay also supports withdrawals, but its help page gives 1–3 business days for deposit crediting; an instant funding promise is therefore not justified by that instruction.
British customer funds are held in a formal trust, separate from the company’s operations. An independent trustee controls them and an external auditor checks the arrangement. This meets the UKGC high-protection category: they should not become the company’s assets if it becomes insolvent. Balance protection does not reimburse gambling losses.
The British agreement sets £100,000 for poker unless a tournament specifies more, and £250,000 for slots with an exception for higher progressive jackpots. Bingo, Casino, Games, Live Casino and virtual products carry £250,000. These are product winnings limits; a bank method’s maximum withdrawal request is a different restriction.
From Connect to Coral Rewards
The former Connect card linked online and shop services. The current terms call this Coral Rewards Card and require separate registration. Linking a card does not make online funds immediately available as shop cash. Connect was described as an app for shop-bet history, cashing out coupons and locating a branch; those functions do not override the payout conditions.
Registration and documents before your first deposit
The British contract requires you to be at least 18 and located in the United Kingdom. Registration needs your legal first and last name, date of birth, home address, a working mobile number and email. You cannot deposit or gamble until your name, address and age have been verified. One person may hold only one Coral account; another account does not restart eligibility for a new-customer offer.
A passport, government identity card or photocard driving licence can establish identity. Send both sides of an ID card or licence. If the address on your licence does not match the account, a separate address document is needed. An electronic statement is acceptable when its name, address and date are clearly readable. A phone photograph can be used instead of a scan.
| Check | Evidence | Age of document |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Passport, photocard licence or government ID | Valid identification, with limited exceptions explained in the FAQ |
| Address | Bank statement or utility bill | Within the last 3 months |
| Address under the extended help list | Council Tax, HMRC notice, tenancy agreement, insurance certificate or university letter | Within the last 12 months |
| Source of funds | Statements, payslips, P60, tax returns, inheritance or asset-sale records | As requested for the particular check |
The general agreement uses a three-month limit for address evidence. The more detailed help list allows certain other documents from the past twelve months. This longer period belongs to those named categories; it does not turn an old bank statement into acceptable evidence. The address must be the one registered on the account, rather than an address borrowed from a family member.
Upload through the website tool, the Android or iOS app, or [email protected]. The verification team aims to review and process documents within 36 hours. That is a document-review target, rather than a promise that a withdrawal will reach your bank within the same period. Successful initial verification does not prevent another request during later routine checks.
Source-of-funds evidence answers a different question from a passport. Identity shows who holds the account, while payslips and statements can explain a salary deposit. Inheritance or property proceeds need evidence of the relevant transaction. Until required checks are complete, Coral can restrict deposits, wagers and withdrawals. Sending only the identity photograph when financial evidence was requested can leave the check unfinished.
Separate Sports and Gaming balances
Coral has separated the money used for sporting bets from its gaming products. Sports Wallet funds sports betting. Gaming Wallet covers casino, slots, bingo and other gaming products. A smaller displayed figure can simply mean that you are viewing the other wallet. You select the destination wallet before completing a deposit.
For example, £40 in Gaming with nothing in Sports does not automatically fund a football bet. A fully verified account can usually transfer funds internally where local restrictions permit. A deposit into the wrong wallet can then be moved rather than deposited again. A withdrawal draws from the particular wallet selected; it does not collect both balances into one payment automatically.
Withdrawal timing: Coral review followed by bank delivery
Every withdrawal needs approval from the internal review team before payment. Requests waiting to be processed can be combined, with the selected method’s limit applied to the combined amount. A confirmation email records the request and its reference, while the money may still be under review. Cashier → Payment History shows the status and destination of the payment.
| Route | Confirmed conditions | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Visa Fast Funds | A compatible debit or prepaid card with the stopwatch indicator | Usually within 4 hours of the request; further checks can extend this |
| Fast Bank Transfer | A bank in your registered country; £5 to the equivalent of £250,000 | 2–4 business days after approval |
| Maestro | A successful deposit with that card during the past 6 months | 1–3 business days for UK customers; 3–5 for non-UK customers |
| PayPal | A successful wallet deposit during the past 6 months; deposit-return rules still apply | After internal processing, without a separate numerical promise |
| Other available methods | Delivery estimate appears under the method and in Payment History | Instantly to 5 banking days, in addition to Coral’s internal review |
The four-hour Visa estimate has conditions. A payout above 2,000 GBP/EUR can need manual review. A difference between the transaction and card currency also affects speed. Fast Funds permits five withdrawals over a rolling 24 hours and operates at weekends. This is a limit for that service, rather than a cap on every Coral payout or a guarantee for every issuing bank.
Visa Fast Funds help still describes a two-hour cancellation window but specifically says the feature is no longer available to UK customers. A British player should not expect to reverse a withdrawal on that basis. Approval and delivery to the card are separate stages, so a document request delaying approval is different from a payment already released to the bank.
The closed-loop system returns money to earlier deposit methods. After £100 from Visa and £50 from PayPal, a request to send £200 to PayPal may first require £100 to go back to Visa. The wallet can then receive its £50 deposit return and the remaining amount. Choosing a wallet does not erase the history of card funding. Payments must remain in the account holder’s name.
Coral does not charge its own deposit-processing fee. The British agreement also excludes an operator charge for withdrawals to debit cards and bank accounts. An international transfer can still attract bank charges. If the original method is unavailable, an alternative can be offered through the Cashier or arranged by email. A relative’s working card is not a substitute for the registered owner’s payment details.
Bonus limits, eligible games and restricted winnings
A deposit match adds the stated percentage up to its ceiling. The help example of 50% up to £25 gives £25 after a £50 deposit and still gives £25 after £100. This illustrates the calculation rather than advertising a current welcome for every new customer. A Direct Bonus requires no new deposit and may need acceptance when you log in.
The individual promotion sets turnover, duration and eligible categories. Some offers also restrict the qualifying deposit and related winnings until release. A slots-only bonus cannot be taken to roulette just because the table is available in the same casino. An unwanted bonus can be rejected through the deposit code or More Info / Drop bonus.
The standard promotional rules set a maximum £2 bonus-funded stake per hand or spin for an active Casino Bonus or Live Casino Bonus. This applies to bonuses listed in the Casino part of the Bonus Wallet. It does not create a £2 limit for every real-money wager, cash prize or other reward. Those other categories have their own terms.
Most casino offers exclude all blackjack, baccarat, video-poker and Slingo variants. The excluded list also contains individual slots and roulette games, including Dynamite Riches, Icy Wilds, Original Roulette and 25p Roulette, unless an offer states otherwise. A game being present in the lobby does not make its stakes count towards bonus release. A winning session in an excluded game may leave the required turnover unchanged.
Bonus eligibility also depends on the deposit method. Paysafe, Moneybookers, Apple Pay, prepaid cards and certain debit cards generally do not qualify for casino offers unless specifically permitted. A method can therefore work for funding the account without activating its advertised bonus. Deposit availability and promotional eligibility are separate conditions.
Free spins can be available immediately or after a qualifying deposit and may work only in an assigned slot. Their winnings are credited as a withdrawal-restricted casino bonus. When their deadline expires, remaining spins and related winnings are lost. Bingo Cash holds your own funds and their winnings, Bonus holds promotional funds, and Pending Winnings holds related wins. The bonus buys tickets; Pending Winnings moves into Cash after its bingo turnover. Casino tables do not complete that requirement.
A sports Free Bet is used in full. A successful £5 token at odds of 2.50 pays £7.50 because its £5 stake is not returned. A standard Free Bet has no extra wagering requirement but can be restricted to a sport or league. It does not contribute to the turnover of another sports bonus. A void selection does not return the Free Bet stake. Where documents conflict, the local general agreement takes priority, then the specific promotion, followed by the standard promotional terms.
Free slots tournaments with 30 tournament spins
Slots Tournaments require entry through Opt in for Free. Each player gets 30 Tournament Spins in Free Play Mode. The displayed £1 stake and game wins are not monetary values from the account balance. Play for real switches into genuine cash play; it does not convert unused tournament spins into withdrawable money.
Points can come from a winning spin, three consecutive losses or a win of at least ten stake units. When an outcome qualifies for more than one award, the highest value applies rather than adding every award together. In the published ten-times example this means 500 points without another ten for an ordinary win. The leaderboard position updates approximately every thirty seconds.
The instructions give two entry cutoffs: ten minutes before the end in the opening explanation and five minutes in the FAQ. Entering before both deadlines avoids relying on the later figure. You can leave and resume while the event is running and spins remain. Unused spins expire at the end, but earned points remain. Cash rewards are credited after completion; a bonus or spin prize still follows the rules attached to that reward.
Coral Rewards and collecting online money in a shop
The current scheme is called Coral Rewards Card, replacing the old Connect description. Joining is free. At a shop counter you provide your name and mobile number and relay the verification code sent by SMS. A PIN is set after the card is issued. One person may hold one card and registration, which cannot be transferred. The operator named in these rules is Ladbrokes Betting & Gaming Limited, company 00775667.
The card can be added to a new or existing online account. Scheme membership and verification of the Coral account are separate processes. Present the card for a cash deposit or payout at a shop counter. Multichannel transactions under these terms accept cash only, so the old description of funding that online account with a bank card at the counter is inaccurate. Monthly limits exist, but the scheme contract supplies no numerical figure.
Online deposits and winnings must be wagered in full online before they can be withdrawn as cash in a shop. The scheme’s examples require £10 of online wagering for a £10 online deposit and £20 for a £20 online win. This is a condition of the shop route, rather than a universal bonus multiplier or bank-withdrawal rule. Visiting a shop does not itself remove it.
Deposit limits, closure and inactive accounts
Daily deposit limits start at midnight UK time, weekly limits on Monday and monthly limits on the first day of the month. These are calendar periods, unlike the rolling 24 hours used by Visa Fast Funds. A reduction takes effect immediately. An increase needs confirmation after 24 hours, so changing a figure does not instantly authorise funding above the earlier limit.
Self-exclusion lasts at least six months. You can request Coral only or all Entain brands; a request with no stated wider scope applies to Coral. Remaining funds are normally returned within ten working days, while unsettled bets can be paid after their outcomes. Exclusion cannot end early. Returning after expiry requires a call and a 24-hour cooling-off period; an email request must also be verified by telephone.
The British agreement treats an account as inactive after thirteen months without cash wagers or bets. Merely viewing the account does not satisfy that activity test. Coral first tries to return the balance to the last known method. If that fails, a £3 monthly fee can start after at least thirty days’ email notice, stopping at reactivation or a zero balance. Customer Services can be asked to reimburse previously charged inactivity fees.
Ordinary closure is different from self-exclusion. You need to request the remaining balance; accepted bets on future events continue to stand. Reopening an ordinarily closed account also has a 24-hour wait. Shop exclusion under Rewards is a separate renewable twelve-month arrangement for specified shops. It should not be confused with the wider online coverage of GAMSTOP.
